Sunday stay

I booked a nights stay to celebrate a friend's 50th. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but were given a complimentary drink. When we got to our room we were thrilled to find we had been given a suite with lovely views of hills and garden. The hot tub outside was fab and hotel welcoming with friendly staff. When in restaurant staff know what deal you are booked with so you do not have to pay an extra charge and have the right menu.

A place with history but all the modern luxuries

We very much enjoyed our stay at this intimate and welcoming hotel from the moment we saw the house and gardens. The beautiful building had been very well adapted and retained many of its charming features. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we felt very much at ease. The food was excellent, very interesting and served with much pride by the restaurant staff who went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect, without being obsequious. We enjoyed using the spa after a busy day exploring Cheltenham and Gloucester, and some wonderful areas of ancient woodland. The hotel was excellent value for money and we shall certainly stay again.

Th hotel was first class. From the moment we arrived and how nice to be offered assistance with luggage.Will be going back soon I hope. Very enjoyable .

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay.  The only item I would like to comment on is the choice on the evening meals with both nights having the same menus.Also I one evening there was a large group enjoying their Christmas meal and we were a long time waiting for our meal.

May such places long grace the English country scene

A break with two friends, tired 40 something's wanting a break from family, city life, and the hum drum of the every day. We were royally treated, and wouldn't have had any aspect of our stay be different than it was. A beautiful and calming spa environment, in a gorgeous building, with fine food and wine, set in countryside that brought out my inner patriot. Thank you Greenway. We'll be back.

I could live there!

We went to greenway for our wedding anniversary, the welcome was as warm as the open fire, and we were upgraded to a fabulous feature room. The spa is small , intimate and delightful. Our meal was extraordinary, unusual adventurous flavor combinations , knowledgeable and friendly food and wine waiters, splendid.

Nice stay

We enjoyed a lovely night at this hotel, very comfy and beautiful building. The only negative I can mention was that our champagne welcome never happened and was never mentioned. Perhaps they were not made aware of the full offer? Other than that a great stay and we would return
