Wonderful stay

My husband and I had a wonderful night's stay at the Greenway Hotel. We were looking for relaxation and to be spoilt and we weren't disappointed. The spa is quite small but is a peaceful and relaxing haven and our bedroom (Superior) was quaint and had lovely touches. The food was delicious and our main meal and breakfast were certainly a highlight of the stay. I also had a cocktail and some time was spent ensuring it was fantastic! We had the dinner, bed and breakfast package and I would highly recommend it. I wish we could have stayed longer and I really hope we stay again. The staff were also extremely helpful and attentive which really added to the luxury of our experience.

noisy doors

Although the hotel etc was beautiful we had to complain about the persistent banging of "new doors" into the kitchen and below the 2 rooms we booked. The Manager was unhelpful promising to rectify the problem but clearly did not. The undermanager made some attempt to wedge the doors but this did not last. £500 for 2 rooms for 2 nights but with NO sleep and NO resolution did not allow us to have the luxurious overall time we expected.

We were disappointed to hear that this fell short of your expectations and forwarded your comments to the hotel for investigation. 

The Deputy General Manager has replied to say she is sorry to hear about your stay and can only apologise that this was not dealt with in the correct manner in which they pride themselves on.  They are currently looking into sound proofing as they do not want their guests to have a restful time when staying with them.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful that it was easy to relax and have a very restful time.

We had a lovely 2 night stay which could have been better if the service from the restaurant had been quicker particularly on our first night when it took more than 2 hours from the time of our reservation to actually get our main course. The following day we were booked for a cream tea at 3 pm which didn't arrive until 3.40 pm - 40 minutes wait for tea and scones. We gave feedback to reception about this and didn't get the impression that our comments were taken on board.

Romantic and luxurious getaway.

Lovely Hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Small dispute relating to the final bill was resolved satisfactorily. We had a wonderful 2days.
