The food in the restaurant was disappointing. We had 2 evenings booked in the restaurant, but didn t return the 2nd night and went out of town for dinner. This was the only downside to the hotel. It was relaxing, the spa and treatments were lovely.
Excellent hotel lovely staff would recommend to friends

Character Luxury Hotel and Spa that's dog-friendly
A beautifully appointed luxurious hotel that feels like you are staying at an upmarket house party. Very friendly and welcoming staff that were happy to see our dog. Plenty of space to walk the dog off the lead including a walk to the nearby Crickley Hill owned by the National Trust with stunning views. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and of the highest quality. We enjoyed the Spa and played croquet on the lawn. It was an exceptionally warm period and although no air-con was available we were given electric fans .A thoroughly delightful stay.
fabulous food
Stayed two nights, the room was spacious the super king size bed comfortable. A small fridge would have been welcome.
Meals were a particular delight with the lamb a standout dish.
This being my first spa experience I will have to measure any subsequent against this and they will have a hard act to follow.
All staff were helpful and welcoming.
A walk round the gardens showed a work in progress that will be beautiful in time.
I found nothing to detract from a wonderful, comfortable stay

Magical Anniversary Evening
My partner and I booked one night to celebrate our anniversary. It was just a magical time, starting with the lovely drive through the Cotswolds. The property is stunning and we were quite surprised when we walked into our room - a huge, lovely space overlooking two gardens. It was so romantic. We didn't book spa services, but did really enjoy the warm pool and outdoor hottub. Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. We slept so well, it was so quiet! We are already planning another excursion in the winter, we just loved this hotel.
