Highgrove
Royal connections
The Prince of Wales has used Highgrove as his private residence since 1980 and Princes William and Harry spent much of their early childhood at the house.
History
The house was started in 1796 and completed in 1798, originally the home for a local farmer. In January 2003, Highgrove featured in the BBC Natural World television documentary.
Grounds
The house is built in the classical Georgian style and has neo-classical facades. The gardens however are at the forefront of twenty-first century agriculture as the 37 acre estate has been used by Prince Chares to promote organic farming and gardening.
