Hidcote Manor
The grounds of Hidcote Manor were created in 1905 by Major Lawrence Johnstone. A proponent of the Arts and Crafts movement, Johnstone essentially created the concept of ‘garden rooms’ with each section being separated by large hedges.
Each ‘room’ has its own unique character and many command views over the Vale of Evesham. The 10.5 acre site is home to a number of rare plant and tree species from around the world and two of the main focal points are the gazebo and the large circular pool which is edged with white roses.
Hidcote Manor has been acquired by the National Trust.
