Absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish.

Comments on stay

Room 2 access poor because of staircase. We were moved to another room which was not an upgrade for which I had paid. In your information it stated bath robes would be supplied. Wroxton no longer supply bath robes. Also there are no telephones in the bedrooms, it is assumed that everyone has an I phone with which to ring reception.

Excellent bargain

Eight of us celebrated the 60th anniversary of starting college together and our stay was an excellent bargain. The rooms were comfortable, the dinner and breakfast were tasty with plenty of choice and the finishing touches were the chocolates and full bottles of chilled prosecco in the rooms. Wroxton is beautiful and the epitome of the ideal English village; the walk round in the morning was the perfect ending to our visit.

Disappointing

Was a little disappointed on arrival to see rooves covered in plastic and building on outside looking very tired. Although staff were lovely there seemed not to be enough as we had to go looking for them when we got to restaurant at the time we had booked for. Ther painters were in so main areas were not very relaxing with this going on around you. Other than that the evening meal was delicious , meat and fish cookery perfect. Breakfast good .

Our stay at the delightful Wroxton House Hotel

What a pleasure to stay at this Hotel which embodies the old and the new.
Our room was clean and comfortable and not far from the bar and restaurant.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.Having arrived late afternoon on
a cold and wet day it was a pleasure to have a light lunch by a warm and cosy fire.
Dinner in the evening was from a good and varied menu and very enjoyable in the very pleasant restaurant with same good service we experienced from the time we arrived.There was a good choice for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was served at our table.Good place to sight see from.
Will go again.

Niggles

Many minor niggles:
1. Early unexpected Sunday Dinner as was visiting friends on way up.
2. Toenails by my bed.
3. Room not serviced adequately, eg bottom sheet never straightened and tucked in. Milk sachets omitted one day.
4. No eggs for breakfast on Monday morning. Remaining breakfast well overcooked.
5. Food improved markedly on last two days and last two dinners were excellent.
6. Papers were promised on registration then failed to materialise.
7. Manager was very helpful and kept apologising profusely.
8. Correction of these niggles would make it an excellent stay.
