Lovely hotel in a beautiful picture book village

Finding this hotel was a great surprise, set in a golden stone small village. Service was excellent, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a really good dinner and breakfast, plenty of choice and special. Our room was large with two TVs and a lounge are, really comfortable. A great stay and a good location.

This was our first stay at this hotel - chosen because of its close proximity to the M40 as we wanted to break our journey back home having dropped our youngest off to uni in Cheshire. It was also our 30th wedding anniversary the following morning, so we wanted somewhere comfortable, upmarket and quiet to completely chill out and relax after our busy uni trip, but also to treat ourselves. This hotel was the perfect choice! The room was as expected with a great deal for a Sunday night (romantic lazy break or something), which included prosecco, chocolates, an allowance towards dinner and late check out - we just needed to pay extra for drinks with dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and high quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just wish we had had more time to enjoy the hotel itself - next time!

Came with two other couples, booked with special deal in superior rooms with Off Peak Luxury - really good although No 2 had a lot of stairs. Quite a few new staff but they were friendly and eager to please. Ate on three nights and really enjoyed the food. Very good breakfast too. Would certainly come again. And the included prosecco helped too!

Excellent stay

We had a lovely long weekend at the hotel. Ideally placed for Stratford. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was excellent.
