Beautifully appointed

Staff were very welcoming and couldn t have done more. The most luxurious bed and bedding we have ever experienced, a delight to sink into. A very nice swimming pool enticed us to stretch out after our journey but as it was in the annex I wished I had brought relaxed garments to get back to the room. Although it was a very dog friendly place, separate lounges and dining ensured others were not bothered by them. Little touches detracted from me listing this hotel as excellent. No handhold over the bath to assist elderly getting out from shower. Not enough towel rails to accommodate luxury towels.

excellent staff and evening meals in well located hotel

Excellent staff and evening meals made this hotel. The room in the stable block was comfortable with a nice bathroom, but small details like no shower caps, sofa blocking radiator and no cushions spoilt the experience. It was nice to have a choice of lounges to relax in but both needed refurbishment as seats very uncomfortable. The gardens also need some work and could become an asset to the hotel. However, it is in a very good location with good walks and short drives to many attractions. In spite of the negatives the special offer price gave very good value.

Excellent place to stay

a lovely atmosphere, beautiful room with roll top bath and fully tiled bathroom with dinner plate shower. Good quality bed linen and toiletries. The food in the dining room was excellent and fresh ingredients had been used skilfully . The staff were without exception helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and contributed to a very pleasant and relaxing stay for us.

Widbrook Grange

Widbrook Grange is an excellent place to stay - walkable from Bradford-on-Avon where there are lots of interesting shops and even a Vietnamese nail bar which was useful and I never expected to find. The hotel is very comfortable with a marvellous gin and wine selection and it was fun to meet up with other Telegraph readers. I particularly liked the indoor swimming pool. The only thing that could have been improved would have been a newspaper delivery in the morning as I had to walk quite a long way to get one from the nearest Sainsbury's !

Widbrook Grange A 2 night stay

We enjoyed our mini break and generally the facilities, comfort and room were excellent.. Both staff and fellow guests were friendly too,
One of my few criticisms is the poor bedside lights. I like to read in bed and needed a torch to do do.
However I realise they suited the general decor of the room.
The food was excellent but I'm glad we were only staying 2 nights as the menu for the the evening meal was repetitive.
Enjoyed using the pool and loved the soft fluffy towels.

Great relaxing stay for 2nights

Haven't been to Brad ford on
Avon. EXCELLENT stay..but wouldn't describe as luxurious.

Rooms were basic with sumptuous bed linen and bathroom towels
Support rail needed to get in and out safely from high sided bath to have a shower.
Blind wasn't working in bedroom!
Didn't have upgrade as deal suggested?
Not keen in it being Dog friendly..but room didn't smell of dogs
