Lovely Hotel

We enjoyed our stay with you.
Would have been nice to have fires in the grates of the public rooms.

Comfortable stay in characterful and ambient hotel. Restaurant a little disappointing

We enjoyed our stay overall but were a little disappointed with the restaurant. The food, particularly the starters and mains, didn t seem that special and appeared a little too hastily to be freshly prepared or cooked. Overall the meal felt rushed and therefore not that relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom and general areas were good.

An overall pleasant and relaxing stay.

Pleasant quirky Hotel and staff but lacking attention to detail

Very welcoming friendly staff who kindly upgraded our room. The room was very spacious however the shower didn't have anywhere to put your toileteries apart from the shower floor which was very annoying considering the room was a junior suite!
I felt the ambience in the dining room was non existent and didn't feel cosy or romantic. Also I felt the food wasn't well presented and my dish arrived missing an important item even though it was advertised on the menu. To be fair the server apologised and said she'd rasie the issue with the kitchen.

Lovely stay

Only comment (not a complaint) was dissapointed with the lack of Christmas decorations, the hotel had so much potential but lacked even a Christmas tree. Would have loved to have seen one in the dining area where one corner cried out for one, more fairy lights needed too. However, did not spoil our stay, lovely staff.

Mixed opinions

We arrived in the dark. Few outside lights and large puddles in carpark. Our room was not in the main building and we had to cross the dark carpark in the rain to get to the restaurant. No early breakfast and it appeared no staff on duty overnight. Staff we did come across were friendly and helpful.
