Fist class in every respect
One of the best hotels we have stayed in.
Beautiful, peaceful location.
Room was upgraded to suite in former stable.
My husband received a birthday card from the team and swan sculpture made of towels was placed beside it on the bed. Wow!
Also, hotel full of antique farm tools and equipment, adds to its character
Satisfactory but room for improvement
We booked a 2 night stay which included breakfast and dinner. Drinks are a bit pricey and cocktails were 15 each. I had the pork belly on the first night but I couldn t eat it as it was too tough. When I told the waitress she offered me a steak knife which I declined. So had to leave it. My husband had the lamb which he enjoyed. Breakfast was a good selection and was enjoyable. The second night I had the burger and hubby stuck with the lamb again as the other choices were not to his taste. I couldn t eat the burger as it was disappointingly very dry. We had hoped on the Saturday night it would have been a different menu but sadly not. Our room was comfortable but I can imagine in the hot weather it would be unbearable as it was not in the main house which I would have preferred. Overall satisfactory but not a wow place. Staff polite and friendly.
relaxed, friendly & enjoyable
my husband and I wanted to visit the area; we found the hotel on country hotel breaks and decided to give it a try. we are very pleased we did - and hope to come again. thanks, Audrey & Bob
Relaxing break
This is a really lovely hotel and the outside rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff are very friending and helpful. The food in the restaurant is really good. Also having an indoor swimming pool is a nice touch. The grounds are lovely and very relaxing so our overall stay was really enjoyable so thank you to all staff.
Excellent venue for a short break
Lovely comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great food. Having a fan in the room during the heatwave was very welcome!
Great location for exploring the area; can walk into Bradford on Avon, (lovely place) and from there are regular trains to Bath and Salisbury. Very pleasant canal cruise from the marina.

It was all lovely apart from the fact that the restaurant had neither of the wines we would have had- they were in the middle of changing their wine list and not managing it well. Pity cos otherwise our visit was excellent
Wonderful
I cannot question the wonderful staff & ambience of this hotel.
I loved the whole experience, wish I could say the same for my companion
Only sampled two of their Gins!!
A very good hotel in a nice location just outside the town and in very easy reach of Bath.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. When you go into the bar you are presented with over 200 bottles of different Gins. We were only able to sample two of them.
Overall a very pleasant hotel to stay for a two night stay.
