A great weekend away deal

We had booked a deal through the Telegraph and thought it was a lovely weekend. Nice food and nice ambience. The room needed a few touches of paint, and a touch of plumbing but the bed was fantastic and cosy.

Relaxing break in beautiful surroundings

We enjoyed our second visit to Widbrook even more than the first a couple of months ago.
Highly recommended.

Comfortable room-good food in restaurant-good location.
However we left a message on answerphone requesting 19;30 reservation for dinner on both nights
which was not carried out.
The room was very good but the path to the main building was not well lit (especially in the rain)
and could be a safety issue

Brilliant stay. Fantastic food lovely surroundings, great room. Friendly staff , very helpful

A bit disappointing

The staff were delightful.
The hotel is further away from the town centre than we had realised.
Our room was OK but in dire need of redecoration, especially the bathroom.
We were looking forward to the food after reading the reviews but it was very mediocre and breakfast was below average

Loved our little luxury break. Food was outstanding especially the lamb.
For a longer stay we would have liked a chest of drawers in our room

Widbrook Grange

The grounds are well kept with nooks and crannies to explore. Room was adequate for our needs. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Food was good although limited choice.

Comfortable country house hotel

Quiet pleasant country house hotel with farming artifacts and vibe. Very good food. Nice pool, accessed by going outside to the pool building. Comfortable room but we had quite a lot of condensation running down the windows in the morning. Otherwise all good.
