Lovely break

BH, Cornwall, stayed: December 2020

Really enjoyed our short break here. The food was great, the pool was very relaxing and the room was perfect. All the staff were lovely and helpful. There were wonderful views and the surrounding countryside and access to Cheltenham and local beauty spots made it a very good location.

Lovely stay

CJ, Hampshire, stayed: December 2020

We had a lovely stay at the Greenway. The staff were really helpful and did an amazing job, even with all the COVID restrictions in place. Our room was beautiful and the food was absolutely superb. We will definitely visit again! Thank you!

Lovely stay, shame about breakfast

KM, Gloucestershire, stayed: October 2020

Great night away - shame about the breakfast!
Bought as a birthday present we stayed here for 1 night with a 3 course meal and breakfast included. On arrival the lady on reception was attentive and swift. Our room (Spruce) was on the top floor with a hobbit sized door (luckily not an issue for me as I am vertically challenged!). the room was spotless and a good size. Only issue was the shower over the bath - there was no screen or curtain so when I used the shower to rinse my hair, the floor got rather wet. We retuned the channels on the tv as there were only a few freebies ones available.
The meal included in our stay was from the Garden restaurant menu but, due to a fussy partner, we ate off the bar menu was no issue for the staff and our main waitress was friendly. There was a slight mix up with our bill (ie we were charged over 50 extra for drinks which should have been put on the bill of the table behind us rather than ours) but this was speedily rectified.
The only issue with our stay was breakfast - there did not seem to be enough staff on duty perhaps as service was extremely slow. The main waitress (who was very abrupt and not at all friendly) took over 20 minutes to ask whether we wanted tea or coffee. However, during this 20 minutes she did take orders off 2 tables who were seated after us so not great customer service there!! Once our orders were in, it then took another 15 minutes for the tea, juice, pastries to arrive. We did manage to ask a different waitress where they were and she brought them straight out. The hot food, when it eventually arrived, was fine if rather sparse. Our meal took over an hour from start to finish (a couple who were seated literally 30 seconds before us received much better service and had eaten their hot food and left before we even got our teas and juices.
N the whole a lovely stay but spoilt by breakfast.

Relaxing Break

Anon, stayed: October 2020

Lovely weekend away just in time before lockdown. Had some miscommunication about the package and some overcharges during the stay but these were all sorted graciously. We had the smallest room but thought it was really beautiful (the bath was a bit small however). The food and the spa were amazing and the hotel is in a beautiful location perfect for walking or going into Cheltenham for the day. Would definitely come back again.

Hi the date that we were supposed to stay at this hotel was 28 to the 30th of October unfortunately we live in wales and those dates wales went into a lockdown so we couldn t go on these dates,
I got in touch with this hotel and we have booked another date 9th to 11th of December hopefully these dates will be alright and hope that the lockdown in England is finished by then.

The receptionist was on the phone as we arrived, she apologised but we and other guests waited some time before being welcomed. Our temperature was not checked.
The heating in our room was on full, and we were unable to turn the radiators down, causing us to open windows, what a waste of energy.
Had my husband not been with me, I d not have had a shower as it was very hard to turn on!
The food was excellent, but two nights was enough as apparently the menu doesn t change frequently.
A good stay but more could be done to make a truly luxurious stay.
