Excellent hotel with friendly staff

SM, stayed: July 2024

The room was top quality and the staff were very friendly and helpful . Only feedback really is that the menu choice for the evening meal is very limited

Most Friendly and relaxing hotel we have ever stayed in. We will be back again.

Andrew B, West Midlands, stayed: July 2024

My wife and I had the great pleasure of visiting this hotel for a three day break in July. I can honestly say its was the most relaxing and friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff worked together as a team and nothing was too much trouble. Jane who manages the hotel has built a team that is willing to do all the tasks. At one movement Green was on reception and then serving in the bar. Even Jane is often working in the kitchen. Katie and Jamie who served in the restaurant were a delight too. Julie the fountain of all local knowledge was so welcoming at front of house. As you can see I cant say enough about so if you want to know more book it for yourself. We will be going back.

Disappointing

GRW Essex, stayed: June 2024

None of the choices on your review about the description of the hotel apply. It has lovely gardens but little in the way of things a family could do there together. The restaurant had very poor choiceand was highly over priced. The staff were few and far between and as a result we waited far too long to be served. The hotel would be far better used as an old people s home. It is not luxurious. The bathroom in our room was at best basic. The shower was inefficient and hard to use and there were no tissues provided. Providing bubbly wine and a few chocolates in the room on day one is not in itself romantic and the reception staff hardly acknowledged us after we had booked in. This was not the break we had looked forward to.

2 night Stay

Paul H, West Midlands, stayed: May 2024

Check in was easy and we were expected. Asked when we wanted to eat and booked in. The room was airy and clean with a very comfortable bed, and overlooking a delightful garden food was very good and the service was good not rushed. Breakfast was good, checking out was quick and easy.
