Dated rooms

Staff were very helpful. I have to say the rooms were dated and need a refresh.

Pleasant Hotel/Spa Retreat

RK, stayed: October 2025

This hotel/spa is on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon and right from the main road approach it sets a calming tone. 1/2 mile woodland drive to the hotel and car park. There are walks around and a golf site. The view from the restaurant is particularly pretty. Some of the communal rooms can appear very dark on a cloudy day due to old dark wood paneling. The spa is well equipped and offers a gym as well. It would be better if one can get to the spa directly from the hotel rather than from outside.

Historic building.

The Victorian, stayed: October 2025

A really beautiful building with history in a lovely setting. The property oozes with charm and character and as yet the interior hasn't been ruined by any awful contemporary influences and long may it remain.

Spa weekend ruined

Anon, stayed: October 2025

Have booked this hotel due to the spa facilities however when we arrived we were informed that the spa was out of order. This has completely ruined our weekend - they did let use a spa at another hotel however it was inconvenient as we had to drive there and the spa was not nice at all. We booked this hotel specifically due to its spa facilities.

Ok

MB, Cornwall, stayed: October 2025

We checked in and noticed the sign saying then pool was closed due to an issue, bearing in mind this was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. We were offered to visit another hotel who had a pool, but that was not the point of staying at this location. The receptionist and the spa attendant said that the pool should be operational the following day. Yes it was, but another sign informed us that it would not be upto the normal temperature on the morning. The hotel took no responsibility for the issues caused and though the offer of travelling to another hotel was acceptable. Unfortunately a hotel that could and should have been on our list of hotels to visit again has swiftly been taken off the list. We will not stay here again I m afraid
