Beautiful and relaxing stay
I had a wonderful stay at the Welcome hotel, the spa and gym had everything we needed for a relaxing afternoon. The staff in the Spa and hotel were very friendly and helpful which instantly made me feel comfortable and in safe hands! We were given a beautiful large room overlooking the golf course which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable and warm which is another big tick for me. The food in the evening and for breakfast was 5* and the waiting staff were always polite and accommodating.
I am already planning my next visit!
Relaxing weekend
After a little difficult start we were re-roomed and received excellent treatment.
Terrible service and food
Long wait for food and awful food experience
Run Down
Hotel needs TLC. It needs some refurbishment doing to it. Staff were ok, but not totally clued up. Weirdly we had to walk through a wedding drinks reception to get to our room
Cosy Retreat with good SPA & Golf facilities located in an idyllic countryside
Enjoyed our long weekend break in this countryside hotel in beautiful surroundings and SPA/Golf facilities.
Dated rooms
Staff were very helpful. I have to say the rooms were dated and need a refresh.
Pleasant Hotel/Spa Retreat
This hotel/spa is on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon and right from the main road approach it sets a calming tone. 1/2 mile woodland drive to the hotel and car park. There are walks around and a golf site. The view from the restaurant is particularly pretty. Some of the communal rooms can appear very dark on a cloudy day due to old dark wood paneling. The spa is well equipped and offers a gym as well. It would be better if one can get to the spa directly from the hotel rather than from outside.
Historic building.
A really beautiful building with history in a lovely setting. The property oozes with charm and character and as yet the interior hasn't been ruined by any awful contemporary influences and long may it remain.
