Comfortable stay and good food

David D, York, stayed: August 2015

Tetbury is a quaint cotswold town full of antique shops. The Snooty Fox is centrally located and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a nice surprise to have a spa bath.

The Not So Snooty Fox!

Shabby chic bang in the centre of town! Lovely place to stay. Parking a doddle in spite of not having its own car park. Staff lovely. Hotel warm, welcoming and bustling.

We were bought this as a birthday present from the family. We had a lovely 2 day stay, the room was lovely, the staff were very cheerful and helpful, the restaurant was inviting and the food was good.

Shouldn't have been sold as luxury

Anon, stayed: December 2014

We booked this hotel as a LUXURY ROMANTIC wedding anniversary escape. The lady on reception was extremely nice and booked us in. Our room would have been luxury about 20 years ago, but certainly needs updating to stand up to its name as so called superior. The bathroom was full of cracks, making it look very shabby indeed, and the whirlpool bath was so old and shabby looking, we didn't even bother to attempt to try it. I managed to put a hole in my 20 silk stockings as there was a screw poking up through the gripper track into the bathroom. As for a romantic break? There was quite a large gap under the door, letting all the light from the hallway glare in (& noise!) dinner was very slow coming, probably due to the Christmas parties being held on the same night (totally forgive that) but it took me 45 minutes to get breakfast the next morning & 30 minutes to get a cup of tea even. There seemed to be 2 members of staff for the whole hotel Saturday morning!

The Snooty Fox Hotel says...

We are sorry to hear that on this occasion we did not live up to our usual high standards. We have not received a complaint about this room before and it is disappointing that it was not to your satisfaction. We do hope it did not spoil your stay and thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.
Best regards

Good all round experience

CW, Alfreton, stayed: October 2014

Stayed here as a couple with 3 other friends. We all enjoyed the time we spent with you. The friendliness and helpfulness of all staff was a pleasure. The food was good as were the choices of real ales. We've already told other friends about how nice a stay we had, and hope to come again some time.
