Absolutely luxurious
I booked a 4 night break in March for our 20th Wedding anniversary, we had a wonderful time, the spa was beautiful and peaceful. The staff were helpful and met all our requirements. The menu was good but for a four night stay could have done with an extra dish or two. The actual quality of food was very good and very rich.
If you want to have a special break then this is the place for you.
General feeling of hotel
Much enjoyed the room, facilities and general facilities of the hotel, good location - evening dinner somewhat of a shock- nouveau cuisine to the extreme??!! Reception area needs shaking up - incorrect bill, understand beyond control card machine not working - but difficult - we have been waiting for a refund now all this time - can now not get any response from the hotel, firstly telephone out of order, then e mail out of order, next excuse person dealing with this not available, then not there, then after speaking to someone and ensured would be sorted - we would hear back directly - not a word and cannot raise a glimmer from anyone at all - find this most annoying and afraid impossible to recommend this hotel to any other friends.

Fantastic stay
Fabulous place and relaxing stay. Our room/suite was amazing, we had a view of the outdoor hot tub and hills which were lovely. Food was really nice the staff were very attentive, helpful and happy. Pool, hot tub and spa were very relaxing, facial was amazing. Grounds are gorgeous. Will 100% return to The Greenway and I'm thinking at Christmas time. Thank you to all the staff for our lovely, welcoming stay.
Restaurant service very poor
No problems on arrival and added surprise we had been upgraded to a suite of rooms which were fabulous, very spacious and clean.
Afternoon tea was included but this was not a good standard - poor selection of sandwiches, scones like rocks and unappetising cakes and it was very slow in coming to us.
We had dinner in the restaurant for two of our three night stay, the first evening service was a little slow but the second evening it was atrocious, we had to wait an hour for our starters, totally unacceptable and the rest of the courses were a long time arriving. The food was good but not outstanding. The waiter on the first evening was very helpful but the two waitresses on the second were not as you would expect in a hotel of that standard. The head waiter on the second evening did give me a complimentary glass of wine and went over the top with gushiness, which was quite annoying as by then we were really fed up with the wait for our meal. No problems at all with the breakfast, very good choice available.
Our stay was spoilt by our experiences with bad service at dinner.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful room
I booked a one night stay with breakfast and dinner included as a present for my partners birthday. We arrived a few hours before check in and initially the receptionist seemed a bit uninterested or friendly, however all other staff members were very friendly and welcoming and we were well looked after in the bar until our room was ready. We were upgraded to the bridal suite (the deal included upgrade to a feature room) and the suite was absolutely lovely, clean, luxurious and comfortable. Beautiful views from all windows around the hotel and beautiful grounds. Our meal in the restaurant was really lovely, slightly unusual starters and limited choice of starters on set menu but they were very nice. Main courses were faultless, absolutely delicious and well presented. We also received a few complimentary appetisers before our starters which was a nice surprise. Service was fantastic and exactly as per hotel's own description. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and we would definitely come back and recommend.
