From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and relaxed. Our room was great, so comfortable and spacious. The spa and swimming pool were excellent.
Our main meal was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly, as was breakfast.
A fantastic way to kick start our honeymoon.

Beautiful hotel, old features but with a modern twist. Poplar room was enormous, lovely outlook, and bathroom lovely. Lunch was lovely in the lounge with good drinks and cocktail menu.
Spa nice, was busy and had limited loungers to relax on. Both of us had treatments which were amazing and not too badly priced.
Evening meal was nice but don t think it catered for all tastes. Lovely touch having board games in the lounge.
Breakfast lovely and freshly cooked.
Will definitely return

Welcoming reception staff. Restaurant waiting team we re very friendly, helpful and efficient. In fact all staff friendly and efficient.
Rooms are very good and hotel provides a relaxing environment.

Gorgeous mini break

We were so lucky to stay here. The setting, Hotel and staff were amazing! Our room was gorgeous, and the spa was such a relaxing treat.
Our three course meal in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! complements to the chef! And thank you to all of the staff for making it such a special event. It really was the perfect gift to my husband for his Birthday! We will be back again next year I'm sure.

Enjoyed our 5star room it was facilities were excellent breakfast was yummy but found there was a limited choice of dinner ...not keen on duck or venison

The main entrance was close nothing tell us this before and we needed to gonin by the Spa not the same as what we were expected. We haven't been told what time the breakfast was and nothing in the room either to tell us. The food was good but not excellent and no one asked us if the food was good. The breakfast was bad, poched eggs were boild eggs. My partner have her beens served stone cold, and it was really difficult to be helped by the staff present that day. We mentioned this when we left and the staff was like ok whatever. Beautiful place but not the service expected.

We have been before and loved it . Was our wedding anniversary so special occasion. We had recently lost our much loved border terrier and were looking forward to enjoying the embience of the hotel s facilities. We hadn t been properly informed regarding the extent of building work before our arrival otherwise we would have changed our booking . Bedroom/ main bar / lounge and reception had all been moved . We were meant to be staying in a bedroom in the main house . The restaurant was noisy with drilling etc so enbience was poor. The staff were fantastic as usual were trying to do the best they could under the circumstances.. It was 550 for two nights which under the above circumstances was not acceptable in our opinion .

We are sorry to receive your comments, we did send an email to all customers informing them that work was being carried out on the reception area, bar and lounge and that an alternative bar/lounge is provided and that the hotel check in will be through the Spa entrance.

We didn't receive a repy from you asking to amend your stay to another hotel.
