Luxury short break at The Greenway Spa Hotel

RT, Kent, stayed: August 2017

From the warm welcome on arrival to the check out at the end of our stay we received excellent customer service from the staff. Our room, with a lovely view over the countryside, was well furnished, quiet and had every amenity to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed fine dining in the restaurant and again excellent service from the staff. The luxurious Spa ensured guests could relax in a tranquil environment and the location of the hotel provided good access to the local beauty spots and places of interest.

First experience of offpeak luxury

Really enjoyed our stay, we did not receive an upgrade to another room, however the room was above expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very pleasant and very comfortable.

Fixed menu disappointing

David C, Shropshire, stayed: August 2017

This was a special break for us, we found the hotel easily enough but found the car park packed as there was a wedding in progress. The room was fine and comfortable but up in the rafters. Breakfasts were excellent but dinner though excellent, disappointed due to lack of choice and was not changed each night. Overall our stay was good value for money.

An excellent stay.

John C, Hertfordshire, stayed: August 2017

We really enjoyed our two day stay, made very welcome on arrival, shown to our room which was large with a 6ft 6 bed, and a lovely view of the gardens.  Dinner was excellent and breakfast could not be faulted.  We both enjoyed the swimming pool, my wife taking advantage of the included spa treatment.  Will no doubt stay again.

my thoughts

JF, Kent, stayed: August 2017

Room was very nice and comfortable, but for elderly people there is a disadvantage as the hotel does not have a lift and the stairs are a little daunting.

Wonderful place, excellent food and spa

Mama G, stayed: July 2017

My friend and I had a much needed overnight stay at the Greenway and we loved the place. The restaurant was superb for both dinner and breakfast. Housekeeping were fantastic.  We were less than impressed by the quality of the cocktails, finding them overpriced and poorly made - I ordered a raspberry twist on a julip and received a bland red drink, half filling a plastic wine glass (you can get poly carb glasses of every shape and size, why cheap out at such a luxurious place?) baring no similarity to a julip - one of the most simple drinks, which should have been served with crushed ice, jostled with mint, sugar syrup (although this should have been omitted with the raspberry twist) and a generous measure of bourbon. They didnt have raspberry so used strawberry liqueur, no fresh fruit and a sprig of mint plopped in, bobbing about confused. My friend had a margarita also in a plastic wine glass with a bit of table salt on the rim. It's a classic, do it justice! Again, don't cheap out, get some poly carb coupettes and some flaked sea salt and use decent spirits. If you're going to charge £9.50 for a cocktail, make it properly! And didn't appreciate the waitress trying to upsell me a champagne cocktail for £15, when it was nothing like the drink I'd described that I would like.
