Overnight stay
We needed one night near M5 & this was perfect. A lovely place to stay, intimate, very friendly staff, enjoyed the spa & outdoor hot tub. We had a master room which was spacious & beautifully appointed. The restaurant was the star with outstanding dinner & beakfast. Excellent value for money & we will visit again for a bit longer next time.
Superb
Visited here for 2 nights for my wifes 50th. Were upgrade to best suite in hotel - absolutely amazing with its own warm and comfy sitting room and spacious clean bedroom with exposed beams and a huge comfy very clean bed.
Large clean ensuite (bath and shower)
Tea, coffee, homemade biscuits.
Restaurant was fabulous and so were the cocktails. Breakfast was perfect.
Spa is modern and well maintained - pool was a pefect temperature and a choice of saunas.
If you are looking for somewhere special - this is a wonderful place.
Staff are extremely professional, helpful and friendly - not stuck up or stuffy.
I am very hard to please and I expect high levels of return for my money - this was a fab place and we shall return.
Note - I think the cheaper rooms may be located above the Spa - I think the more epxensive rooms are in the older house were we were - worth the extra !
Also - we went Thursday - Saturday - Spa was busy Saturday morning but Thu / Fri was perfect.
Well done!
Superb Luxury break in beautiful surroundings
We booked a Luxury Break through Offpeakluxury who were extremely helpful in assisting us obtain the specific dates we wanted.
The hotel certainly lived up to its billing and the staff were tremendously helpful. We had a great room in the extension very close to the Spa. The pool, Sauna and hot tub were exceptional. The food in the restaurant was extremely well presented with good portions and sooo tasty.
Overnight break
Lovely hotel, with friendly staff. Upset by the shards of glass we found in the room.

A wonderful mini break made perfect by friendly staff, clean rooms, well equipped spa facilities and an excellent restaurant.
Terrible experience
We arrived at the hotel half an hour after check in opened to be told we didn t have a room booked even though we had paid in full online. After 30minutes waiting for them to find us a room we were given our keys and not told about any of the free services included with our stay (we were meant to get free afternoon tea, use of spa and evening meal). We finally arrived in our room confused, disappointed and didn t know what to do during our stay or where and what time we were able to enjoy the use of spas and free afternoon tea. We went back down to reception to find out further information and were guided toward the lounge for afternoon tea. We then waited an hour in total to be served and finally receive our tea. When booking the stay I specified both me and my girlfriend were vegetarian and we were given sandwiches with meat on them and when we told the server they did nothing and left them on our table. Finally after a disappointing afternoon tea we decided to shrug it off and go relax in the spa. We arrive at the spa and we re told no information on what times we could book spa treatments so after changing into our robes we asked at the reception for them to tell us it had finished while we were waiting for our afternoon tea. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication from hotel and spa staff and what was meant to be a relaxing spa retreat ended up being stressful and confusing
