Lovely hotel, but room looked as though it needed a bit of an update, plus things in bathroom did not work, but we did tell them at reception, but not sure that they were that bothered!! Restaurant super and the spa were so helpful, good experience.
It was amazing

Perfect Short Break
We had an amazing time at the Greenway Hotel and Spa - great, friendly staff and service, delicious food, a really lovely spa area and lovely hotel grounds. The room we were given was beyond all expectations and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It was the perfect romantic and relaxing weekend and we would definitely return!
Basil Faulty lives!
Our champagne package was confirmed with reception on arrival, to be served in the bar at 7.30pm followed by dinner at 8pm. We first received a glass of champagne (half-filled), and having consumed this we asked for a refill from our complimentary bottle. The girl looked nonplussed, but having checked realised she should have served us a bottle, not a glass. She then produced a bottle, opened and poured us a glass which was lukewarm. I had to send that back (is there anything worse than warm champagne, and anything nicer than chilled champagne?) and requested an ice bucket which duly arrived without any water in it so she couldn't get the bottle in! The manager then came with menus and said that our first glasses were on the house. After about 40 minutes he returned to take our dinner order and rushed off to attend to various other peoples' complaints. We were eventually invited to the dining room at 9.20pm and after a further wait our first course finally arrived. It was someone else's order. Fortified by the champagne (which as you can imagine had long been finished) I called the manager over (the same flustered Italian gentleman) and described the experience we had 'enjoyed' so far, much to the amusement of the other diners. Our first course then arrived, and ironically that and the other courses were delicious and beautifully presented on the plate.
Having come from the impeccable Calcot Manor the day before, the service we had that evening was a real disappointment. At checkout we again recounted our experience, to be told that many of the regular staff were on holiday. I suggested that the management of a 5 star hotel in the Cotswolds might perhaps have realised that August is the busiest month of the year and so it might have been an idea to be fully staffed at that time. Hey ho, I guess this is England and one cannot expect standards of service one enjoys in the Arabian Gulf and the Far WHY NOT?!
Wedding Anniversary
The whole experience was delightful. Thanks
