Lovely escape

Beautiful picturesque location, wonderful helpful staff and amazing fresh & well presented food.
The bedroom was ok but bed uncomfortable and we had a unsettled nights sleep which is a shame as everything else was great.

A most enjoyable stay

A fabulous stay in a splendid hotel. I had one morning when my cooked breakfast was not hot but otherwise the food was absolutely fabulous. The evening meal was cooked to order, it looked appealing and tasted great I have no complaints about the food; it was just rather slow in each course arriving. We had a lovely room; we used the spa on one day which had to be booked so numbers could be controlled. All the staff were friendly and polite; an enjoyable stay.

Excellent v

A friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and we had afternoon tea one day which was exceptional, so much that we took a doggy bag away with us. My friend is Gluten intolerant and every effort was made to make sure they catered for her requirements.
We had a room in the stable block which had an amazing view over the gardens and hills.
There was just a couple of minor things that we noticed , one being our shower in the room was a bit grubby on the bottom of the door and we did get a rather nasty smell coming up from the bath, but the maintenance people did try to sort it out for us. The other thing was the price to use the pool was quite expensive 15, if you weren t having treatments over 50. But our overall experience of staying here was wonderful.

Short Break

An enjoyable stay at the hotel, found it very relaxing indeed. The food was delicious but some dishes could have been a bit hotter, especially the main courses. The Covid measures were taken seriously by the staff and made us feel secure but some of the guests needed gentle reminders about them as everyone has to comply. Overall, I enjoyed my surprise big birthday treat with you, thank you very much. Jayne (and Richard).

Special Occasion - Special Hotel!

Cannot fault this hotel or its staff. It was a special celebration weekend for us and I am so glad we picked this venue. They made us feel special, looked after and every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant (which is a beautiful room anyway) was top notch and so flavoursome. The same can be said for the breakfast. We also had a wonderful experience in the Spa. The rooms are lovely (there are only 20 or so in the whole place so each one is individual). COVID19 measures were all very well observed without it negatively affecting our enjoyment. Our huge thanks to all the staff - we will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone!
