An excellent stay.
We really enjoyed our two day stay, made very welcome on arrival, shown to our room which was large with a 6ft 6 bed, and a lovely view of the gardens. Dinner was excellent and breakfast could not be faulted. We both enjoyed the swimming pool, my wife taking advantage of the included spa treatment. Will no doubt stay again.
Fixed menu disappointing
This was a special break for us, we found the hotel easily enough but found the car park packed as there was a wedding in progress. The room was fine and comfortable but up in the rafters. Breakfasts were excellent but dinner though excellent, disappointed due to lack of choice and was not changed each night. Overall our stay was good value for money.
First experience of offpeak luxury
Really enjoyed our stay, we did not receive an upgrade to another room, however the room was above expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very pleasant and very comfortable.
Excellent
Lovely hotel, great staff and lovely room. Also the staff at Offpeakluxury were really helpful, fantastic customer services. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Luxury short break at The Greenway Spa Hotel
From the warm welcome on arrival to the check out at the end of our stay we received excellent customer service from the staff. Our room, with a lovely view over the countryside, was well furnished, quiet and had every amenity to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed fine dining in the restaurant and again excellent service from the staff. The luxurious Spa ensured guests could relax in a tranquil environment and the location of the hotel provided good access to the local beauty spots and places of interest.
1 Night Stay
Could not fault our stay, it was a pleasure and we will be back again to enjoy all the facilities that you have to offer. Thankyou
The Greenway hotel - well-positioned for the Cotswolds with pretensions to luxury
This hotel has a well-patronised spa. Our first-floor room(s) overlooked the outdoor facilities, which much to our surprise, given the cool weather, were in regular use (we were not among the customers). On arrival I formed a list of points for attention and only one, a request for a top sheet under the duvet, was met by the first evening and that after a reminder. By the time we left, three days later, all but one point had been dealt with. The outstanding complaint, that the bathroom cold tap ran hot water, probably needed a major rerun of the plumbing! The rooms were spacious with excellent en-suite facilities. The bath was sizeable with a large non-slip mat and handles both sides of the bath. I would have appreciated a shoulder-height wall grab-handle for support when using the shower. One dinner was included in our price which we took on the first evening. This was well-presented, but disappointing due to a severely restricted menu with little to our taste. Apart from breakfast (good), we dined out after that. It was clear that an attempt had been made to make the stay luxurious, but our previous hotel stay had been at the Grand at Eastbourne and the Greenway still has some way to go to match that!
Miscellaneous comments
The restaurant dinner menu was disappointing; the choice was limited and the chosen main course was not to a good standard. The shower did not work in the allocated room and the room was too warm at night unless the french doors, which opened onto a flat roof were left open. We were unhappy to do this for security reasons.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and we were quickly moved to another room for subsequent nights.
The indoor pool and jacuzzi were very relaxing.
