Second Stay

Anon, stayed: April 2017

Second time at The Greenway and we weren't disappointed. As previously, we received a warm welcome on arrival and very good service from the friendly, helpful team for the duration of our stay. Our room was on the top floor, slightly shabby chic but that's part of the hotel's charm, and we had a view over the garden and a large seating area. The spa area is compact and the pool area very warm, but the outdoor hot tub is lovely to relax in. Both dinner and breakfast were of a very high standard, although the dinner service was rather slow probably because the restaurant was full. All in all though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Most Enjoyable Stay

Anon, stayed: May 2017

Had a lovely stay at this hotel from the moment we arrived the staff were extremely obliging and helpful. Our room was delightful and bright and comfortable, there was a variety of restaurant food available from fine dining to a la carte and even afternoon tea which was fabulous. The spa is also very pleasant and we enjoyed spending time in the outside hot tub with the occasional cocktail served. The gardens are well maintained and you can enjoy a nice walk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Another excellent stay at the Greenway Hotel & Spa

KK, Oxfordshire, stayed: June 2017

I love the Greenway Hotel & Spa. It has everything I appreciate for a lovely, relaxing country house break. The staff have got the balance perfectly of being approachable and discreet. The dining experience is excellent. The Spa and the facilities are also excellent.

Wonderful place, excellent food and spa

Mama G, stayed: July 2017

My friend and I had a much needed overnight stay at the Greenway and we loved the place. The restaurant was superb for both dinner and breakfast. Housekeeping were fantastic.  We were less than impressed by the quality of the cocktails, finding them overpriced and poorly made - I ordered a raspberry twist on a julip and received a bland red drink, half filling a plastic wine glass (you can get poly carb glasses of every shape and size, why cheap out at such a luxurious place?) baring no similarity to a julip - one of the most simple drinks, which should have been served with crushed ice, jostled with mint, sugar syrup (although this should have been omitted with the raspberry twist) and a generous measure of bourbon. They didnt have raspberry so used strawberry liqueur, no fresh fruit and a sprig of mint plopped in, bobbing about confused. My friend had a margarita also in a plastic wine glass with a bit of table salt on the rim. It's a classic, do it justice! Again, don't cheap out, get some poly carb coupettes and some flaked sea salt and use decent spirits. If you're going to charge £9.50 for a cocktail, make it properly! And didn't appreciate the waitress trying to upsell me a champagne cocktail for £15, when it was nothing like the drink I'd described that I would like.

my thoughts

JF, Kent, stayed: August 2017

Room was very nice and comfortable, but for elderly people there is a disadvantage as the hotel does not have a lift and the stairs are a little daunting.
