Disappointing break
the room was basic but okay the menu for the evening was the same for both nights we stayed with the exception of the soup of the day, we thought it was a pretty basic menu. my wife ordered haddock risotto the haddock came as a whole piece with the bones still in it, no one mentioned the fish had bones in it when it was served on challenging the waiter about this he said it was a fillet that would have bones in it, I would have thought that the fish should have been flaked to go in a risotto.
The bottle of bubbly and the chocolates that was supposed to come to the room on arrival we had to ask for about 2 hours later . The corridor leading up to the room we stayed in smelt of dampness.
We could go on but we would not stay at this Hotel again

Sudbury House short break
Nice hotel with average rooms and facilities. The town it s on the edge of is not very pretty and has very few facilities, not a pleasant evening stroll. The hotel was fine but not as luxurious as our previous Cotswolds hotel breaks. Friendly staff and rooms were clean.
Great position for nearby attractions and scenic drives/walks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend facilities and staff to anyone.
Just what we needed
A good location for our needs for a relaxed, comfortable few days of walking in the countryside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, well presented and served quickly.
