We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and the chateaubriand was perfect.

Unfortunately due to covid 19 we didn't feel it was value for money. We requested the lift to be checked as it closed on my wrist which caused an injury. The hotel itself was lovely however little to do in the are

Lovely hotel in quiet relaxing location.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sadbury House hotel. The rooms were clean with modern decor. Big bathroom, but beds could do with former mattresses. Staff extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for walks or just lazy weekend as they have a lovely garden and plenty of different seating areas where you can enjoy an afternoon tea or glass of wine. Prices in their bar are reasonable and there is a 24h room service. We definitely recommend this good quality hotel for anyone who is looking to have a break from busy life.

Well needed few days away

Hotel was well organised and beautifully clean.  COVID regulation# meant you had to wear a mask when walking around but this didn t feel as weird as I expected ,
We were warned that breakfast would be continental and served in the room but due to lower numbers in the hotel they had started to serve full breakfast again in the restaurant .Menu at night was just about enough choice to eat there both nights ( not very vegetarian friendly though) Staff were all very helpful

Faringdon itself was very quiet - pubs not even open on Mondays and Tuesdays ,but is within easy driving distance of the Cotswolds villages

Sightseeing Oxford

Janet, Lancashire, stayed: September 2020

The reception area did not have a warm welcoming atmosphere. The Receptionist was not particularly friendly or pleasant. The room was okay, no frills. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good ambience. However the Evening meal in the restaurant was quite chaotic. We waited over half an hour for our wine to arrive, soup arrived before the spoons. Long, long wait in between courses which wasn't ideal in the present circumstances, although the tables were quite well distanced. The food was very good when it arrived. Some of the staff were not wearing masks or face covering which concerned us slightly. The breakfast was a completely different experience. Everyone was wearing masks, the lady in charge made sure we knew the rules before we went in. Everyone was kept as far apart as possible, which I appreciated and the breakfast was very nice.
