No review title
bathroom needing renovation.
Our bathroom was in a poor state of repair
chipped bath surround
mould on the walls
lavatory seat became dislodged when in use , and fell onto the floor, while we were sitting on it.
Luckily we were not injured.
We reported it to the staff, who tried to fix it , but were not able to do so
Not what we expected from a 'luxury hotel'
there is no lift and we had to take our suitcases up to our room on the top floor.
We are both in our 80's.
When we said something to the person on the desk he said we could have asked for help.
We emailed comments on our return home.
Rather disappointed
I have already sent you an email to say that the room felt tired and well used, with marks on the walls and bed headboard. We also had trouble getting the hot water we wanted for the bath and shower. Not what we expected for a luxury stay that was not cheap. The late check-out was also pointless as the housekeeping staff were not aware, so knocked the door to make up the room anyway (despite my putting a sign up to say "not yet") and they were so loud with vacuums etc in the corridor and the room next door, we left before 12.00 anyway.
Tired rooms but helpful staff.
Staff very helpful but room old and tired. Door to en-suite had to be sanded down and treated with WD40 before it could be opened and closed properly and not squeak. Hot tap leaked and was too tight to open and close easily. No instructions on how to operate coffee machine and television. Heated towel rail off and no instructions on how to turn on. No central heating.
Garden looked beautiful but weather too poor to use it.
Manor House review
We had an overnight stay at The Manor House on our way home from Hidcote. The staff are friendly & helpful, the gardens & outdoor space is lovely but the eventhough the room was clean the decor was tired & overdue a freshen up. The headboard had large head stains on it & the chairs & carpet very worn, the public areas bar/lounge/dining room were ok. The food & service was great & appreciated being able to park our car off the road in the secure car park.
Mini Cotswold stay
Lovely hotel, fabulous staff.
Super friendly and helpful.
Excellent stay lovely place
Good food amd ambience with friendly helpful staff would recomend as a place to visit
Bathroom bit of a let down
Rooms, bedroom cleanliness was good , would have liked a fridge (not essential) and unable to access to Netflix etc on tv, bathroom , a new toilet seat didn t make up for the mould, base of bath panel and around the extractor fan , for what your charging I would expect a higher standard and a walk in shower there s enough room .
