Very pleasant stay.But .
We enjoyed our stay and the room was very comfortable but we were alllocated a room which was on the third floor with a difficult staircase. It was also very dark and full of gadgets without any instructions . This room should not be occupied by anyone elderly or with any mobility problems. On the plus side the room had a lovely view of the grounds, and a superbly comfortable bed . I would stay there again but not in this room. I believe it was the only one on the third floor so could be avoided with previous knowledge
A very welcome autumn break for six friends
Very comfortable with ideal location of our three lovely bedrooms next to each other in a quiet part of the hotel.
Enjoyed by us all.
There's good rooms and not so good rooms
Lovely weekend away but disappointingly the room we stayed in was fine but away from the main house and was disappointing. That was our only criticism and I think a shame because I think had I booked a room in the main house it would have been perfect. The food and staff are excellent friendly discrete and super helpful. I would return but to the main house
Rejuvenating 24 hours
Charingworth Manor is located in the most beautiful spot with stunning views. The reception area is a bit odd in that it consists of a small wooden tall desk and looks almost as if you are entering through a back door. However once entering into the ground floor hallway with rooms off the impression is of a comfortable country home. Our room was located some distance from reception but was very acceptable, clean and well appointed with comfortable beds. Bar and restaurant service was efficient and the food was very nice, well presented and delicious. I would stay here again and would recommend to others looking for a relaxing break.
Wonderful hotel.
Everything perfect, would book again.
Two days well spent
My wife and only stayed for two nights - we wish we could have stayed longer,, we would rate our stay five stars in every category. Certainly one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the UK. The room was perfect with ambient music to welcome us, the restaurant was first rate and we really appreciated the locally sourced. food.. We would have to go a long way to find a better swimming pool and how nice to have a choice of newspapers - you don;t often see that these you.
A welcome break
We returned to Charingworth Manor to spend two days in one of our favourite areas of the country, The hotel is a gem in open countryside with great views from our comfortable room and within easy reach of several beautiful Cotswold villages. The stay was definitely enhanced by the most delicious dinners on each evening along with the friendly staff and we found it to be a welcome relaxing stay.
Wonderful stay in the Cotswolds
Had a great stay, although the room was a little tired, food excellent but too much but choice good, staff very approachable.
Lots of places to sit in and out.
Lovely swimming pool although I not sure everyone was told about it, It would be helpful to have a
"Map" of the hotel, also the extra "tax" on meals, ABIT strap and a shock when you receive your bill!
