Excellent in all ways.
We were blown away with this hotel. The location is fabulous with gorgeous views. Our room was very spacious and spotless. The food was excellent and the staff were very gracious and professional. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was a lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
A lovely place
We stayed here with friends fora three day break . Lovely rooms ,staff excellent . wonderful position in the Cotswolds . Nothing too much trouble . Restaurant was O.K. but wouldn't choose to eat there & very pricey . Breakfast was one of the best ever , really top dollar .
Very good, but could be better
Welcome excellent, staff very pleasant and helpful. Food very good and well served. Superb location and grounds. BUT - Still "snagging" after recent refurb. Rooms were very poorly illuminated. Some room facilities poorly thought through - our "twee" designer kettle was on top of a 1.5metre high cupboard with virtually no illumination. It would have been dangerous for my wife to use. Piped music was intrusive and not geared to the current guest demographic from 7.30am to 9pm, even in our bedroom. This alone would put us off returning.

Our 2 day deal included 55 pp for dinner.
BUT our steaks were tough as old boots and poor value for c 35pp.
15 for scallops is OK.BUT for only 2 small scallops ifor me t was mean.
My wife said the swimming pool was nice. BUT the changing room was scruffy. In particular the showers were dirty.
The staff were nice throughout.
Memorable
Charingworth Manor is quintessentially English with breath taking views on an unmarked countryside from exquisite gardens. The tennis court needs care and attention but is an added bonus. However the swimming pool is just lovely. The hotel possesses relaxing lounges- everything is calm and serene. The food was good and the staff was very charming and very attentive.
Hot tub room
The hotel and grounds are stunning as was the food and service. we had a hot tub room, the room was a little tired in places and the hot tub cover was falling apart making it difficult to use and resulted in loose polystyrene in the hot tub. Although the room was cleaned, there was cobwebs and dust when we arrived which were still there when we left. The room and garden we had booked needs some attention. I cannot comment on the rooms in the Manor House.

Lovely hotel - amazing cream tea
Excellent quality hotel
Very clean, well decorated room with comfortable beds in a beautiful building with attractive grounds. All the staff were helpful and professional. The restaurant was well laid out and the food was the highlight of the stay. My only negative point is that the background music played during dinner was totally inappropriate.
