Don t Stay Here - you have been warned!!

Steven B, West Midlands, stayed: June 2021

Prosecco was in a bucket of water (not ice) on arrival.
Main meal was cold. On a re-appearance from the grill, all the sauce had dried up. Waitress gave us the wrong meal each and on swapping back with my wife I burnt my fingers. Waitress had omitted to tell me the plate was lava hot.
Stairways and halls smelt fusty.
Breakfast had warm orange juice and cold toast. We had a competition to guess what the sausage was made from. No one won.
No hot water in the bathroom in the morning.
On complaining when checking out and paying for the previous nights 42 bottle of wine ( Where did that come from) all the receptionist said was sorry hope you ll stay again. I said Guess what?

We had a lovely long weekend at the hotel. Ideally placed for Stratford. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was excellent.

Very pleasant country hotel.

Jacquie K, Gwynedd, stayed: August 2021

We enjoyed this hotel, the staff were especially friendly and helpful. There was nothing too much trouble for the staff to make our stay good. The food was excellent. The outside areas could be better in terms of comfort, the weather was good whilst we were there and a garden type setting would make this place really good for relaxing outdoors, this is not a criticism, just a comment.

Recent short stay

JH, stayed: August 2021

We arrived in a beautiful picturesque village to a lovely hotel. The staff were wonderful - very attentive and helpful. We dined both nights in the restaurant and the food was excellent, as was the service. Our room, though a little smaller than we expected, was clean and the choice of teas etc was plentiful. The champagne and chocolates awaited our arrival which was a lovely touch. Plenty of parking available. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

We stayed here recently and enjoyed every minute of it. Room 2 was delightful and the team made us extremely welcome. I would recommend the hotel to everyone, from the charming and warm welcome, to great food and comfortable surroundings we couldn t find fault anywhere. Please carry on the great work and we will return!
