A Great Place to Stay

EP, Middlesex, stayed: January 2022

We had a one night stay, and slept in one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room was lovely, and the pre dinner g&t's at this gin palace were great. The starters, and main courses were about the best I've ever eaten at any hotel. Truly superb quality and beautifully presented. The sticky toffee pudding (shared) hit the spot, and the table next to us ordered it for pudding when they saw ours. Another gem, was the Saint Emilion. Not cheap, but worth every penny. It was so good, I've tried to find it for sale, without success. Service for dinner was a bit casual, as it was for breakfast, but overall, it was very good and we are looking forward to staying here again.

A great romantic break for gin lovers

VT, West Sussex, stayed: February 2022

We had a fantastic stay here. Food was delicious & came out quickly. Our room (The seamstress) was large & luxurious. The staff here were welcoming & knowledgeable. We had a fun evening in the gin bar where the barman selected drinks for us based on our personal preferences. We loved watching him make our drinks & enjoyed drinking them more. A sort walk along the canal to the town it s self & if you are lucky you might see a Kingfisher or two.

Excellent in every way

GW, West Sussex, stayed: February 2022

A special hotel with a lovely atmosphere and first class rooms. Interesting and imaginative dinner menu. In spite of the only small negative of cheap bread used for toast at breakfast, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is exceptionally good value for money.

Excellent Customer Service

WH, West Sussex, stayed: February 2022

The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The 2 men who served behind the bar were exceptional. They were very friendly and welcoming. Their knowledge of gins (and tonics) was particularly helpful as there were so many to choose from!
