Stay with friends

A good friend suggested that we book for the same stay that she had already booked, originally for the Bath Xmas markets. The hotel was very welcoming, the food at dinner was excellent. Although the Xmas markets were cancelled this year (COVID again) we had a really good time in both Bath and Bradford, helped by our lovely stay at Widbrook Grange.

An unusual hotel full of querky things

We were in one of the outside bedroom accommodation which was fine but the house bedrooms, even though more expensive, might have been better.

this is such a fantastic place and punches well above it's star rating. wonderful staff. incredible chef. quirky, characterful rooms and a lovely swimming pool. i could not have loved it more.

Old world charm with modern facilities

A beautiful old grange that has been sympathetically updated with well appointed rooms. We found it ideal for a three night stay with our dog. The elven meter indoor pool was lovely and great to work up an appetite before dinner. The menu was fairly limited and might be a bit Samey for longer stays. The food was excellent and beautifully presented

A lovely hotel which was excellent overall but with just one complaint - the dining room was very cold! Admittedly we stayed during January and it was icy cold outside but some extra heat would have been welcome to be able to enjoy a meal without shivering. A shame as the other rooms were very cosy with open fires, although not all were lit during our stay. Everything else about the hotel and our stay was wonderful.

I had a problem with something mislaid, wrote to the hotel as soon as I realised this but as yet (3days later) haven t even had an acknowledgement.
