Relaxing country break.

JB, cardiff, stayed: October 2021

Relaxing break in charming country hotel. Classic room larger than expected. Tasteful decor, very comfortable king size bed. Restaurant excellent, interesting dinner menu and food excellent both at dinner and breakfast.. Quirky gin bar with huge selection of gins. Staff friendly and helpful. COVID measures in place to protect clients not too restrictive.
Booked a manicure and pedicure and facial with Germaine via the website when booking the accommodation, absolutely fabulous. Nearly two weeks later my shellac polish still looks perfect. The facial was such a relaxing treat and Germaine who provides all the treatments in your room was professional and friendly. Highly recommend you treat yourself to a treatment it will really add to your experience.
Pool and small fitness centre available although not used on this occasion. Location near to canal side walk into Bradford on Avon with pubs alongside for refreshments.

Relaxing stay in a quiet area outside Bath

JD, Surrey, stayed: October 2021

We chose this hotel because we wanted a few days in Bath. The hotel is about 20 mins drive from Bath. We didn t mind this because we were enjoying Bath and were spending the days exploring. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming.I found it cosy and the various sitting rooms and bar area were charming. The restaurant menu was delicious. Staff were always helpful. The swimming pool was an extra benefit, always well maintained and when we stayed, quiet. The only small suggestion I would make is with the towels for the pool. We were advised to use the bath towel from the room. I would rather have been advised of this prior to arrival so that I could bring my own towel from home. Overall a great stay and would return.

All the staff were excellent - pleasant, friendly, efficient, knowledgable but not obtrusive.
Facilities, particcularly our room, were very nice, clean and convenient for all our requirements.

Perfect break

Anon, stayed: October 2021

Really enjoyed our 2 night s stay. Loved the quirky themes - we were in the Seamstress room which was large and the bed king size and very comfortable. We enjoyed the food and thought that having a comparatively short men meant that the food was really well cooked and presented. A good location for walks and places to visit.

A pleasant stay at a venue requiring attention to detail.

Anon, stayed: November 2021

We found all the staff professional and friendly. Room 21 was spacious but with very liitle daylight. We had to ask for a reading lamp. One side of the bed mattress lacked support and we propped it up with a pillow. This was reported to reception. It was not corrected during our stay. There was limited choice in the Restaurant menu for us being there for three nights. The menue cards were worn and poorly presented but the food and service were good. The evening background music was definately not to our taste and rather spoiled the ambience.

A Lovely short stay

Stephen, Wiltshire, stayed: November 2021

We enjoyed an excellent couple of nights at Widbrook Grange. The whole experience was very positive and relaxing. The staff were all excellent and very welcoming. The food and drink were of the highest quality and very enjoyable. My only slightly negative comment would be that some additional staff would have made the service slicker. That said it didn t really detract from an excellent experience.
