Post Christmas treat in a lovely hotel.

EY, stayed: January 2025

The room was fantastic, with really unusual touches. We stayed in the music room, which was lovely. Only concern was the water pressure in the morning as we had no water coming through we presume to the number of people showering.
The staff were exceptionally friendly in particular the staff serving in the restaurant. Great location and we really would go back.

Thank you for your kind feedback. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay in the music room and appreciated the unique touches! It's also fantastic to know you found our staff exceptionally friendly, particularly in the restaurant, and that the location was ideal for your visit.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with the water pressure in the morning. We'll certainly look into this to ensure a better experience in the future, particularly during busy times.

Thank you once again for your positive comments, and we'd be delighted to welcome you back on your next visit!

Lovely stay

MC, Hampshire, stayed: February 2025

Very welcoming staff. Lovely bedroom with the most comfortable bed and pillows . Food was of high quality and staff helpful. Grounds pretty even in the poor weather.I used the swimming pool which was fine once in ,but the air temperature was cold. There appeared to be only one shower available to shower afterwards . As such,I stood shivering in my towel waiting for it to become free. If I had known this I would have brought the dressing gown provided from my room to provide a bit of warmth or gone back to my room in the gown ( although you have to go outside to do this) The one improvement would be to heat up the facilities in this area . Our bedroom was lovely and warm however and the hotel even provided tooth brushes .

Lovely, quirky, place

Anon, stayed: March 2025

A quirky place, and very family and pet friendly. Staff were fabulous. Restaurant food presentation looks lovely, but needs a bit more thoughtfulness on flavours (potato salad had no place on a goats cheese and beetroot dish; something with even a little bit of acidity was needed to balance it - same could be said for the fish dish with deep fried cauliflower and confited onions, it was extraordinarily fatty. The fresh veg were very overcooked and watery, with some pasta in the water in the bottom of the veg serving dish, luckily we are not gluten free). The staff were friendly and attentive, and the setting is beautiful!

Overall it was a charming place if a little tired. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Although it was dog friendly this was not a problem for people without dogs as they were kept to separate rooms. The food was somewhat disappointing but then food is very much a personal choice.

Very enjoyable stay

Julian A, Berkshire, stayed: February 2025

We spent two nights at the hotel in February 2025 celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location is excellent for the surrounding area including Bath. Bradford on Avon is busy but the nearby town of Marlborough is lovely. The Avebury Stone Circle is within easy reach by car.
The staff were excellent and ensured that we had a nice stay. Our bedroom was called the Music Room and was very comfortable (bed linen was excellent and the bed perfect) although the lighting wasn't great for reading at night for a pair of oldies. Some guests might find the room decor 'quirky' (e.g. a violin case for the tea and coffee and a converted trumpet for a bedside light) but we were very happy with this. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a good choice of options available. The evening meals were good but bordering expensive, quality ingredients and good service made up for the cost. The grounds are extensive and well maintained, dogs are welcome and that seems another good point for visitors.

Very good quiet atmospheric location with easy walk along canal towpath to Bradford On Avon..We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to this town for its history and attractive buildings.
The Grange was quite rustic and furniture reminded me of my parents house.
Food was very good especially Breakfast.
Our bedroom only had only one chair . Barthroom was very clean and modern but we missed not having a shelf for toothbrushes/toiletries etc?
We would certainly stay here again
