Wonderful Widbrook Grange!
We had a wonderful stay - the house and grounds were beautiful as was our room and we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed a swim in the pool. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was fabulous! Staff were friendly and helpful.
We would definitely recommend to stay here and hope to return sometime
Perfect Bank Holiday break
Very smart country hotel on the outskirts of Bradford-on-Avon - town about a mile and a quarter. Had a room in the main hotel which was very comfortable, complete with a roll top bath.
Enjoyed the quirky bar/snug and restaurant but forgot they had a pool.
Will be back!
The room was excellent except for the bedroom where the wardrobe was useless. There was no drawer spa
to unpack a few things to lie them straight. Our friends who had a sililarmlybeautiful room to ours had a chest of drawers otherwise Iwould give fill marks. The swimming pool was beautiful
Terrific food.
Nice area, nice staff. The fixtures and fittings in the room were in need of some TLC, but the bed was ok. The food was superb.

One or two minor matters.
Staying 3 nights DB and B , it was boring to have the same menu each of the 3 dinners.
No soap holder in the shower. No rail for safe shower exit.No rail from bedroom down steps to bathroom. No rail on exit to outside.
70th birthday celebration
I booked this hotel as it was close to the Kennet and Avon Canal, where I was hiring a dayboat for my brothers and their wives at a time of celebrating my 70th birthday. The price seemed okay and the accommodation description seemed to fit the bill!
There was a promise of an upgrade if available when we arrived and although it seemed to be the case, no upgrade was offered. The rooms appeared to be luxurious, but some of the decor needed attention. The hotel generally looked like it didn t have a maintenance person. One of the rooms had a toilet that was difficult to flush and despite complaints each day, nothing was done until the final night when it wouldn t flush and the occupants were moved to another room.
The food was excellent, but as the menu only changed every three months, if staying for more than a couple of nights, choices would be limited. There was a 30 per person dinner allowance, but it wasn t possible to have a three course meal for that price, but in reality none of us really needed a three course meal and so we alternated between a starter and the main course or a main course and a sweet. Good wine choice but quite expensive, although I m unsure of the exact prices, as my brothers kindly bought the wine.
Breakfast had an excellent choice of cooked food, but maybe the choice of cold food could ve been better. If some of the standard coffees were required, there was a 2.50 supplement, which I thought was totally unnecessary, consider considering what we had paid..
The furnishing in the rooms was very good and there was a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, together with biscuits and still and sparkling water. The TV was a struggle to operate and there were no instructions.
Great 2-night stay
Great stay, friendly helpful staff and nice food in a lovely location. The room was good, clean with a comfy bed: ensuite was a little tired and could do with a refresh. The two night deal was good value for money and we enjoyed the complimentary drinks.
Brilliant stay.
Had a great two night stay here just a lovely 25 min walk up the canal into Bradford on Avon. Amazingly dog friendly, there was a welcome bag of dog treats on arrival and sausage at breakfast. Lovely grounds and a nice indoor pool.
