Booked on-line for a Two Night Dinner / B&B break in a Classic Room. Approx a week before, the Hotel advised that "a Wedding Booking" would mean that our early Restaurant Booking would be delayed. However, Reception and Chef worked hard to keep our early Restaurant Booking as near as possible. Restaurant service was calm, professional and pleasant, and avoided any delays in service.

Dinner Menu is not very extensive, BUT, for two nights provides enough choice and also caters for Gluten Free requirements. Main dishes are of excellent quality. Very good chef. Breakfast good, with very efficient staff, especially on second morning, when 'wedding party' meant they had multiple people to serve and take orders from.

Excellent Room/Bed, although mentioned to Reception that shower head was a 'bit wonky'

Otherwise, a lovely stay and very good staff.

A happy time for 4 of us

AC, Cheshire, stayed: September 2023

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was good, but we could not open any windows.

Helpful pleasant staff. Disappointed that the dinner menu was the same for 2 nights. Very nice food. Breakfasts 10 out of 10.

Shabby chic style overdone, only one very uncomfortable chair provided for a double room, another provided on request, maintenance of room poor, roller blind lowered but would not retract. No instructions provided for the antiquated shower. On the whole our stay was enjoyed.

We enjoyed our stay and have given a written review direct to the hotel. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and so was the food. Our room, which was a dog friendly one, was large and comfortable but we felt that the bathroom needed quite a bit of attention. I have put that in my review to them and hope that they will be able to do something about it.
