Lovely hotel with lots quirky features. Room luxurious and spacious with everything you could need.

Autumn break

Michael N, Northamptonshire, stayed: October 2023

The hotel is well situated being just outside Bradford on Avon.
The decor is slightly quirky but the hotel is warm and welcoming.
The staff are excellent expecially Colin in the restaurant. Nothing was too much for him to make sure you enjoyed your stay.

Excellent value in lovely setting

William B, Gloucestershire, stayed: October 2023

Very quirky hotel in great location. Beautiful gardens and comfortable public rooms. Theme is shabby chic and some features are more shabby than chic but thats the appeal. Room was large with masdive bed. Hot water tap in whb trickled and kept moving. Dinner was a good standard with excellent service. Breakfast was dissapointing- no mushrooms, bacon overcooked and sausage undercooked. We asked for no beans but got them anyway. The selection of gins are to die for. Staff are friendly and helpful.Overall excellent value and we really enjoyed our short stay.

Welcoming and relaxing

David, Cornwall, stayed: September 2023

We have had another pleasant stay at the Widbrook, the staff were welcoming and friendly as on our previous visits, the restaurant food was good and the selection of Gins is brilliant The hotel is in a great location to visit Bath and other attractions, we had planned a few country walks, unfortunately the weather was against us with torrential rain but we found a few local houses to visit instead. If you want a chilled hotel in a good location the Widbrook is a good option, 5 star it isn t but it s a lovely hotel and good value for money.

A unique experience

Anon, stayed: September 2023

We had a wonderful time at Widbrook Grange, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Our room, the hayloft 12 was lovely the bed amazingly comfortable, with pillows that are soft yet supportive. We had the pool to ourselves which was a great treat. The restaurant food was delicious, congratulations to the inventive chef.blackberry parfait one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. The hotel decor is very unique and interesting,
On a less enthusiastic note, we were disappointed to find a broken slab and loose paving slabs around the outside pathways, definitely trip hazards and the external steps up to the hayloft are very steep with loose slabs and need repair. Also I would recommend when it's time to refurbish, that showers are installed instead of baths, climbing into a wet bath is a slip hazard.

We enjoyed our stay and have given a written review direct to the hotel. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and so was the food. Our room, which was a dog friendly one, was large and comfortable but we felt that the bathroom needed quite a bit of attention. I have put that in my review to them and hope that they will be able to do something about it.
