Friendly Farmhouse style hotel
Standing in its own grounds well back from the road it feels more like a rural home than a hotel. The rooms have an individual character,we were in the Seamstress suite complete with sewing machine ,mannequin and other artefacts.
Huge comfortable bed and good shower.
Food was to a high standard with ample breakfasts.
One slight gripe was the coffee supply couldn t cope with demand on the first morning and it was quite a wait.
Otherwise an excellent stay and ideally placed for a stroll along the Canal towpath into lovely Bradford on Avon.
Relax in lovely surroundings
Beautiful location, both local and extended area . Peaceful relaxing stay in pleasant room. Fine restaurant and huge choice of breakfast courses.pleasant swimming pool. A much appreciated gift from our family!
Enjoyable break
A friendly small hotel, with quirky decor and so welcoming for four legged friends. if you are after a smaller, non chain hotel, this is a very good choice. Food was excellent, with a good choice, and helpful staff, particularly at breakfast, to help you with suggestions for exploring the local area. Great canal walks within 10 minutes of the hotel. The hotel does have a swimming pool and small gym, which we only discovered after 2 days, and was close to our room. It would have been helpful to have been told where this was when we checked in. A complimentary drink on arrival was mentioned, but this was not offered, which would have been welcomed after a long drive. This is a lovely hotel both in the Summer and Winter with open fires.
Two night stay
Very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel was welcoming and friendly. We didn't need to use our car, so close to B on Avon and beautiful walks.
Restaurant value
It was disappointing that our dinner allowance of 30 per person per night did not cover the cost of a choice of one main and one desert per person. Only by choosing a starter as 'main' and sharing a desert were we able to eat inside the allowance. The food was delicious however.

All very good except for the fact that I booked a twin room for myself and my friend Barbara Ewart and had confirmation for that by email. When we checked in we were told that our room was avdouble and there was no way to change as they were full. They said they had queried the booking with yourselves and been told that we wanted a double room despite having the email confirmation of a twin room. Why would it have been assumed that that we wanted a double not a twin when it was specifically requested to be a twin.
The receptionist said we would probably be given a compliment
ary drink for the mistake but the Manager declined to do th

Dog Friendly Haven
Lovely room in the stables & dogs made welcome by all staff plus we were able to have dinner & breakfast in the conservatory with them. Dog beds were available & treats.
We had to ask for the doggie bag which was supposed to be in the room We took our own dog beds & bowls for the bedroom.
Food was excellent!!!
Only two negatives-upgrade the loo roll please & a lot of litter about & a few full poo bags in the grounds. TLC needed in the grounds.
