Very nice hotel with excellent swimming pool. Unfortunately our bathroom had no tail rail. The bath was also very high and I was unable to get in.

Excellent location, Our room did have a noisy Kitchen fan outside but otherwise an excellent stay.

The food was rather pricey we felt. Liked the fields andf country feel.

Autumn mid week break

Anon, stayed: September 2024

A relaxing and enjoyable 3 night break in a very spacious and comfortable room in the tastefuly converted stable block. Ideal for accommodating our dog, with a bed, feeding bowls and treats thrown in! A large meadow adjoining the hotel proved to be ideal for early morning walks before a good breakfast (great menu with a variety of well prepared dishes). The waitress proved to be very helpful and well versed in where to explore in the area. Dinners were well cooked and chosen from a fairly short menu (often a good sign) and had enough variety to choose different dishes each night.
There are comfortable longed adjoining the inspired gin bar to enjoy pre and after dinner tipples.

Lovely Break

Keith S, Dorset, stayed: July 2024

Reception rather cold and sullen could smile more and did not pass on early request to restaurant for and additional 2 for dinner on our last night. Barman great and restaurant staff excellent. Food and a very good breakfast. Room nice and spacious. Location very pleasant and well kept restful gardens. Easy parking

Well worth a visit

Frank, Hampshire, stayed: September 2024

The house is set in nice grounds with some unusual statures. The house itself is a warren of small but welcoming rooms. The actual bedroom was of a good size and very well presented and stocked with tea, coffee etc.

The staff were all helpful and cheerful. Meals in the restaurant were all excellent and served quite quickly. The only concern was that the menu was quite limited as such. Perhaps the inclusions of a few specials with help to provide more variety.

The swimming pool was warm and well worth a visit

In summary well worth the visit as a short break.

Quirky Hotel

Anon, stayed: July 2024

Lovely small hotel with easy access to Bradford on Avon plus local pubs in walking distance. Nice rustic feel with several lounges with different atmospheres. Good food and a varied menu. Helpful team and spacious room. For tourists - Lots of interesting sites and properties nearby.
