Short break
An excellent break, weather, food, accommodation very enjoyable. Here's to the next time!
Excellent location - poor food.
We had a meal allowance of 30 each which didn't go very far when my filet steak was 26.50, starters 9, desserts from 6, glass of wine 5.35. My filet steak was the size of an egg - the smallest I've ever had. The three chocolate dessert items were so small there wasn't enough to get a taste.
Breakfast was very good - a full English.
We had a good time exploring the area but were disappointed with the meals at the end of the day.
Special Occasion Short Stay.
Very nice place with well trained staff and 'super' dog friendly.
Food Very good; but short in quantity after a long walk by the canal.
Gardens and rear car park area, could benefit from from TLC.
A proper luxury Break
Lovely hotel filled with plenty of quirky (but very nice touches). Awesome food, polite friendly staff. Just close enough to canals for a nice walk
Holiday with the dog
Fantastic quirky hotel in a great location. Great staff, lovely food & very dog friendly. We ate in the conservatory with several other dog owners. Everyone got chatting & laughing and then moved into the like we d been at a private party!
Great stay at Widbrook Grange
This stay at Widbrook was a 60th birthday present from some friends. A 2 night break. The setting was lovely, the receptionist was welcoming & gave us a guided tour before we signed in. We were allocated the Artists themed room (no 6) which was just brilliant. spacious & very comfortable.
We ate 2 breakfasts & 2 evening meals in the restaurant which were just amazing.
I would certainly recommend this establishment for comfort & location & adequately sized swimming pool.

A pleasant short break near lots of local amenities
Good for catering for dogs re fields and walks in the grounds. Pleasant room. Heating... It would have been better if we had some control ourselves without asking staff, (which we didn't). Cosy corners in front of fire. A homely feel to the hotel. Good location.
Excellent!
The hotel is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. The staff were excellent (especially Atilla who looked after us throughout our stay). The food was also very good, well presented and varied. My wife is both vegetarian and coeliac which sometimes can be difficult but was not a problem here.
The room in the outside block was good but the windows could not be opened easily and the room was quite warm.
Location is perfect for visiting Bath and there is a bus stop at the end of the drive where you can catch a bus direct to the city.
There is also a station in nearby Bradford-on-Avon with frequent trains to Bath (Bradford-on-Avon is a lovely place to visit as well).
