A homely hotel
The hotel itself is attractive The staff are very helpful and deal with any requests in a friendly way. There's a really nice I would say rustic ambience which is what attracted me to the hotel. The bedrooms are more contemporary & comfortable. A minor thing - Our room could have benefitted from a bathroom shelf for cosmetics/washing stuff. Also perhaps some hooks for extra outdoor coats/jackets. Breakfast was great. Slight issue with the evening meal being the same menu on the 3 nights we were there. The food though was cooked very nicely. Location is great for visiting the many lovely villages and cities. I would return to Widbrook Grange

We had a great time at the hotel loved the walk along the canal to Bradford
We enjoyed our stay and couldn t have felt more welcome enjoyed our walks into Bradford and easy access to railway to Bath we celebrated our anniversary there and would definitely stay again
A wonderful relaxing break
We recently enjoyed a wonderful relaxing break at Widbrook Grange which is in a beautiful quiet area close to Bradford Upon Avon - a lovely town to visit via the towpath. The food was delicious, Staff very friendly and helpful and the Gin Bar a great place to enjoy a drink.
Thoroughly enjoyable 2 day break near Bath
We were made very welcome on our arrival, with a staff member carrying our heavy case to the hotel then up the stairs to our room (Room 5 - Music Room). The Receptionists (Lauren and Amelie) were very helpful and efficient. A display of literature on local attractions and maps would have been very helpful.
The room was a good size, but would have benefited from a small table and two chairs. The room needs some minor but important repairs (loose post on the bed, window doesn't shut, no instructions on the TV - difficult to operate). The bathroom featured a 'sink on a bicycle' which looks novel but lacks space to put toiletries. The walk-in shower was excellent.
We had one evening meal in the hotel (excellent quality and service) and one in the Boathouse pub owned by the hotel (also excellent, but rushed service as pub closes at 9pm). Breakfasts in the hotel were absolutely superb, and so was the waitress!
The hotel has an excellent gin bar. We were served by the General Manager (Peter), who also did a wide range of other tasks, all with a smile and a willingness to make our stay memorable.
One Night Break
Extremely enjoyable short break. Good location for walking. Particularly liked the gin bar. Food good, particularly breakfast and service excellent. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Overall far exceeded expectations. Did not use the spa so cannot comment. Most certainly would stay again.
