Most enjoyable short break.

Thought the package deal was excellent value for money. Would recommend the hotel but with the following reservations:
1) Very spacious and comfortable room with excellent view but wardrobe was inadequate for two people staying a few nights.
2) Bathroom could have been more modern with walk in shower plus movable shower head.
3) Service in the restaurant was VERY slow in the evenings and almost became a joke by the end of our stay. Staff did their best but were young and inexperienced and some could have been smarter.
4) Garden would have looked better at night if illuminated. What about health and safety if guests fancied a late walk round the beautiful grounds?

Best short break we've had recently

A very impressive looking hotel with wonderful gardens to stoll through. The staff were helpful and the restaurant menu was varied and excellent. We shall return next year.

Overnight break

Had a lovely overnight stay with friends. The hotel is beautiful in a fab location. The room was lovely the only thing that was disappointing was the dinner we had in the restaurant. The service was terrible I waited an 30 for my main course the rest of our party had theirs. The food was only OK I had steak which was dry and my hubby had fish which was overcooked.
Breakfast was better but not brilliant. However we did enjoy the hotel itself

Charming and elegant

Lovely stay at hotel,very attentive and helpful staff. Excellent food and room was wonderful with fantastic views, would recommend this hotel

Weekend at the WoodNorton Hotel

Stunning setting. The staff were very helpful and helped us move rooms when we discovered that my wife who is disabled could not use the shower in the original room. Food in the Brasserei was excellent. Service was slow due to staff shortage. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again.
