What a fantastic find. We wanted a short break where we could Norton filled all our expectations. What was most obvious was the happiness of all the staff and how that radiated through to the guests. Whether they were busy or not, they always had time for a chat which we find interesting as we are keen to learn the culture of other countries. The room was lovely with great views and the comfort of the . The food in the restaurant was stunning, well presented and absolutely delicious. We will certainly return some point soon.

Good
Overall the stay was excellent, save for a very poor main course for dinner on our first night. No other complaints, as the hotel was very comfortable with very friendly staff. Breakfasts were superb with plenty of choice..

Just the place for a relaxing weekend break
Cotswold retreat but not all quite as it seems
Very nice hotel with welcoming/helpful staff throughout. Large and comfortable room though bathroom a little dated. Deal felt pretty good value for money, with 30 pp towards dinner and 20 towards bottle of wine BUT food and wine expensive so ended up paying nearly as much for drinks/extras as we did for the room deal itself.
Views from hotel spoiled by the massive new care home built literally next door.
Given the many similar country house hotels around we wouldn't stay here again for that reason - which is a shame
WOOD NORTON
This hotel is very tired, gives new meaning to the term "shabby chic" and is in desperate need of a major face lift. The building ltself is quite imposing but there is nothing even remotely luxurious about this hotel and both the common parts of the hotel and the rooms need to be totally updated and modernized. The staff were generally very nice but not very well trained or professional; no one will get this hotel confused with a Four Seasons, Mandarin, RitzCarlton or any other luxury hotel.

Hidden gem
Wonderful 2 night stay. Large room, enormous comfy bed. Molten Brown toiletries. Room overlooking the gardens to the front. Cream tea on arrival. Barman very friendly. Reakfast a little disappointing (1 sausage,1slice of bacon, half a mushroom, hash brown, half tomato and beans). Attentive service on the first morning, however the second morning there had been a wedding the night before so very busy and not as efficient as the day before. Dinner was excellent.
Receptionist on duty when we arrived was extremely helpful. Room wasn t ready so suggested we sat in the bar and had something to eat and drink whilst we waited. Helpful with things to do in the area and with shopping suggestions.
Would love to return in the summer months to enjoy the outside areas.
