Lovely hotel

Anon, stayed: November 2018

The hotel itself is lovely. We actually stayed in the annex building. Breakfast was good both mornings but the service was terrible, the Sunday morning we actually waited 20mins for a cup of tea. The staff are really lovely but the service is just really bad. They are terrible at clearing the tables which means their is never any tables to use. If they more more into self service it may help this improve. I stayed here last year and was just as bad but you Hope over time things may get better but clearly not. Apart from that it s a really nice hotel. I would stay here again but go elsewhere for breakfast so it doesn t ruin my stay.

A beautiful, elegant hotel, perfectly situated for a short break in the Cotswolds.

So enjoyed our stay in Wood Norton Hotel. Delightful surroundings, courteous and friendly staff, and delicious food. We had an executive room with garden view in the main part of the hotel which was spotlessly clean, but with a very outdated bathroom in need of serious renovation. That was our only criticism. It won t stop us from staying there again!

We were really looking forward to our stay.  It started off well as the room we were in was good and we had a lovely afternoon tea.  After that it went downhill.
Dinner items turned up cool or cold, breakfast the same. We did tell the Restaurant Manager who apologised but seems quite disinterested. The receptionist also seemed very blaze about it.
Although the hotel has absolutely stunning gardens, the hotel itself seems to be in need in a bit of a revamp. Just looked a bit tired to us.

Good but

Anon, stayed: November 2018

A lovely hotel, a little amassed seperate buildings but good. We had a man who had recentley had a stroke, I told the agent but was told it was not passed on, so room too far and up stairs. Supper was OK but seemed to lack something.

We say...

Thank you for your review following your stay at The Wood Norton.

We're sorry to hear that the room allocated to your friends did not meet their requirements; had we been made aware of any extra mobility needs we would have advised that a room in the main hotel would have been more suitable.

We have checked our call records, as your reservation was made online, and can see that we weren't contacted prior to your arrival apart from to request a copy of your confirmation.

Should you decide to make another reservation through us in the future, please do let us know of any extra notes or requirements and we will be happy to ensure that all requests are confirmed with the hotel on your behalf.

With best wishes,

Offpeakluxury

Super Hotel

Very enjoyable stay, lovely staff. Brilliant food the best breakfast ever with fruit served in individual kilner jars and a honeycomb dripping into a dish and best pasta dish we have ever had.

A Cotswold break

JMF, Hertfordshire, stayed: November 2018

Although we had asked for twin beds, the double bed was quickly converted. We had a pleasant room but without a view; but this was not a disadvantage for our short stay.

The restaurant was busy but the dinner enjoyable; we were in early for breakfast when there was plenty of choice and we beat any rush.

Shall certainly stay again.
