Like eating in a corridor?
Because there was a large party in the restaurant, we along with other visitors who wished to dine were shunted into a draughty, cold, bare room that looked as though it normally served as a corridor. All the romance of a Cotswold break disappeared.

Relaxing stay
Character hotel in pleasant countryside location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very relaxing 2 night stay.

Lovely location. Very clean and tidy. Good facilities & quiet. Excellent venue to stay in The Cotswolds. Would most likely be a very good wedding location.
General comments
One is all for atmospheric lighting, but here the lighting is almost universally too dim: not really able to read a newspaper over a cup of tea in the lounge or bar, nor a book in one's room.
Receptionist on our arrival (3.30pm approx) gave a greeting which contained all that one needed to know but was gabbled in an impersonal way and with little charm.
Not advised that on second night a corporate event was happening; no real prob but a little overpowering and certainly unexpected.
Bathroom very good; bed very comfortable with good qualoty linen. Well maintained and imaginative period garden. Excellent views (but not from our room (201) although a pre-booked room well in advance.
Most interesting building inside and out. Cooking was very good
Just the place for a winter break
I had seen Wood Norton Hall at a distance since 1949 and always wanted to see inside. It was a delightful place to stay for 3 nights in early December, as I was recuperating from a knee replacement operation. We were given a charming room with windows on three sides and a large walk-in wet room. Easy access to the 2nd floor by a modern lift. We went out in the mornings to nearby Evesham & Pershore & fascinating Croome Court. The sitting rooms were comfortable in which to read in the afternoons. The young staff were outstanding - friendly, helpful & intelligent
A little me time
A lovely break away from the hustle and bustle of christmas preparations. Bed so large and comfy, fluffy white towels and Molton Brown toiletries - what a treat. Add a view to die for from our room (206). Friendly and efficient staff and warm and relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend the Wood Norton to everyone.
