A touch of luxury

We particularly appreciated the luxury touches such as:

Under floor heating in the barrel, generous toiletries
Rolltop bath, double and powerful shower
,

Lovely stay

Anon, stayed: January 2019

I bought 2, 2 night offers for Christmas presents for family members. We had lovely rooms in Pear Tree Mews, the walk to the main building was very short when we found the entry via the first floor! Not that it was far anyway but could have been bad if it was raining. The staff were all really good, nothing was any trouble. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, as was the breakfast and cream tea. The view from the grounds is beautiful and we were lucky enough to have the most amazing sunset one night.

All in all a very relaxing break, no rush, no bother and best of all, no washing up!

Two nights twixmas stay 2018

Robert C, Warwickshire, stayed: December 2018

The Hotel, rooms and grounds are very well cared for and obviously well used for Weddings and Family celebrations etc. We enjoyed the surroundings but felt somewhat restricted as we could not use the bar area for our pre-dinner Prosecco each evening or have a relax in the bar on arrival. This was due to this entire area and the adjoining coffee lounge being taken over by large numbers of wedding guests. We were therefore told we were confined to the restaurant only and on both evenings had to ask for our Prosecco's (which were part of our pre-paid deal) to be served at the dining table. This was disappointing as we would have liked to relax in the bar beforehand. I would strongly suggest that some provision is made for general hotel guests to enjoy all the facilities. ..

Generally hotel was ideal for our stay. The Restaurant didn t Have the fish on the second night.

Keith, Newark, stayed: December 2018

Ordered steak well done one night but came out raw. Hotel was extremely busy with a wedding over the 2 nights of our stay. Staff were welcoming on our arrival and throughout out stay.

We will definitely return to the hotel preferably with no wedding on.

Twixmas Break

Anon, stayed: December 2018

The hotel was lovely, set in a beautiful location. We stayed in a feaure room which was amazing. The whole stay provided a relaxing break just what we had planned. The food in the restaurant was also lovely, however the service was very slow which was a little disappointing.

Not sure how long you ll last...

Anon, stayed: December 2018

We had a lovely stay and the food was spot on however the staff were a bit useless when it came to using the tills and recording our food choices. First of all we didn t get what we d ordered, then about an hour after we d ordered they said they didn t have one of the mains available, so my partner chose something else and we then got charged for 3 meals plus drinks that we didn t order. Eventually the waiter sorted it out on the system (3 wrong tickets later) the couple next to us had the same problem. When we left the next day our final tab also wasn t correct! In some places you d let I slide however when you re paying this amount of money you expect a better service. It s a good job we checked the ticket before signing and putting it on our tab!
