One night stay

Ian S, stayed: February 2019

Attentive staff, very well appointed bedroom/bathroom. Good food - clearing away used crockery at breakfast slightly annoyingly slow. Otherwise, thouroughly recommended.

Romantic break

Glenn, Staffordshire, stayed: February 2019

Four of us stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We found the staff to be really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The Pear Tree Mews rooms were lovely and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. The only slight thing was that the Pear Tree Mews room got slightly too warm at night (with the heating turned off). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to celebrate another anniversary. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay.

Weekend break

Ian, Hampshire, stayed: February 2019

Very pleasant stay. Overall we were well looked after and well fed. Restaurant and bar staff excellent but reception staff somwhat offhand. Room well appointed and comfortable but under lit. It was a chilly weekend and the hotel was underheated

Lovely weekend (almost) spoilt by cold room

GM, Cheshire, stayed: February 2019

The Wood Norton is a beautiful hotel, both internally and externally. The restaurant is excellent - breakfast was substantial both continental and cooked and the dinner menu, although small, made up for it on quality.

The downside for us was that our bedroom was freezing despite having air con/heating. We couldn't even read in bed because our arms got too cold. Reception did reset the air con but it made no difference. On speaking to reception on the 2nd day, they did arrange for a small heater to be sent up to the room which made a difference eventually but it would have been nice if someone had switched it on whilst we were out to want up the room rather than us get back to switch it on. A failure in the hot water didn't help matters around tea time but it was soon sorted.

All in all, The Wood Norton is a beautiful hotel with easy access to motorways, the Cotswolds and Evesham.

Beautiful setting

Anon, stayed: February 2019

We had a weekend at the Wood Norton. They were very accommodating in our late arrival and booked us in for dinner that evening so we wouldn't go hungry. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The bar prices were very high and that ensured we went to local pubs instead. The house is stunning and spacious.
Sadly the lift bell kept sounding every time it was called which we could hear from our room and the housekeeping wasn't great as we had black mould on the shower tiles. The hallway light was on all night and the large gap under the door let the light flood in.

Good stay let down by the restaurant

Paul S, Cumbria, stayed: February 2019

Enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. Our room,in an annex a short walk from the main building was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was excellent.
The restaurant had very little atmosphere and I thought the menu pretentious. All 4 of our meals lacked any form of presentation that I would expect from this quality of hotel. A burger came with a bowl of chips but no garnish whatsoever. A 30 fillet steak did not even have a steak knife.
Breakfast was much better tha dinner with a fine choice of continental buffet in addition to a full English, although this consisted of only one slice of over cooked bacon, one sausage, half of a tomato etc. Not very generous.
I would stay here again but eat out in nearby Evesham
