Stay for anniversary

We stayed here on a deal for our anniversary for 3 nights with bed, breakfast and evening meals included. Bottle of champagne on arrival and cream tea.
When we arrived the person on reception was pleasant and got us checked in. The room was described as a superior room with spa bath (which we were quite excited about). When we got to our room there was a weird smell all the way up the stairs and in the room too. The room was basic at best and the spa bath was a really small bath with a few water jets which we didn't even try.
The best thing about the place was the food was pretty decent and the bar had a pretty good range of drinks. The staff were pleasant enough without being over attentive. The worst thing was the noise from the downstairs bar and right opposite is a market building which has a bell that rings all night. No air con in the rooms.
Tetbury is a pleasant village with more antique shops than anything else. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Champagne break

We stayed at the Snooty Fox to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We chose the champagne break, we had a friendly welcome when we arrived and our room was ready for us. We stayed for two nights, evening meals were included in the package, they were very good and well presented. All staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We also had a cream tea which was lovely. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, all cooked to order.
We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it to our friends, look forward to staying again in the future.

A relaxed and lovely stay

A relaxed and lovely stay at the Snooty Fox. My first trip away since covid 19 appeared and was a bit wary of what to find and experience. However, the wariness was soon gone with a very warm welcome on check in and realisation that everyone knew exactly what they were doing and kept things in check in such a calm and friendly way. Good Beer - good food - comfortable room - nice people and a relaxed stay. People often make a place and that was certainly the case here. An excellent few days away.

Lovely location

Right in the middle of Tetbury so we loved the location. We booked a champagne break but sadly didn t see a drop of champagne! When I enquired about the bottle of champagne in room worth 35 we were told that they weren t doing that and instead some money would be taken off our drinks tab- when we left the bill was really confusing but it looked like 10 had been taken off. Made the stay a bit less champagney! Quite basic and dated rooms, lovely food.

Enjoyable

A very welcoming hotel with attentive staff. We had a spacious room with a whirlpool bath, would have preferred a shower but all spotlessly clean. The food was very good and there was a good choice on the menu. Overall would highly recommend
