Excellent location Fantastic Room
A mixed bag
Overall good value for money just let down by tired bathroom ( bath had around 4/5 coin sized chips in the enamel) and the worst breakfast buffet I have ever had which is strange after the the very well presented dinners in the restaurant the evening before
Room no.19
This room has only has an "ok" because it was the weather was very hot and this room, although the radiators were not on the lead pipe to the radiator was on morning, noon and night. Same in the bathroom. The bathroom floor was always warm and the edge of the bedroom carpet was always warm. It was like under floor heating in these areas. The room was unbearably stuffy and we asked for a fan. When we realised the problem we told the manager who said he was aware of the situation but nothing could be done about it due to the age of the property. With hindsight, if this is the fact then why did the radiators look quite up to date. For us octogenarians this was extremely uncomfortable to say the least.. I have been quite fair with my review .I am putting a Yes to the question regarding staying there again but it would only be during cold weather.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Charlotte Pheasant Hotel, very convenient for touring the costwolds.
The only drawback was that the Restaurant Menu didn't change from night to night. When we last stayed there under Coast & Country the menu was different every night.
Cotswold Sunday
We have stayed here many times in the past. The hotel is well run and of decent standard. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Staff are always polite and helpful. The meals are not over elaborate, but we ve never had a bad one. The bar is welcoming and the atmosphere is quite calm and relaxing. We certainly will return.
June Stratford trip
Stayed here before, but this time the room was small but adequate, dusty though in the room and generally needs better cleaning!
Restaurant food good but uninspired
Breakfast was not good, cold egg, lack of choice. With half an hour to go for breakfast, no pastries ,cheese or cold meats left, and coffee machine run out of coffee!
Staff pleasant but v young and lacked motivation
Not up to the standard expected when booking with offpeakluxuary.
A tired hotel in need of updating and certainty not up to the standard expected on offpeakluxuary.
My wife and I stayed for two nights middle of June '24,
Before arrival I had booked two afternoon teas on the hotels website page 'upgrade your stay'. On arrival the restaurant told me the hotel computer system was not compatible with the kitchen system, my booking had not been passed on so the kitchen could not supply even though I was prepared to wait. No afternoon tea for us.
At 7.30am the next morning my wife washed her hair only then to find the plug had been cut off the hairdryer! The room telephone had no plug socket/connection so I had to dress and walk across the carpark to reception to report the problem. A replacement hairdryer was eventually delivered to the room where I was given a WhatsApp number for future reception contact!!!
No complaints with the evening meal and the buffet breakfast was adequate but no real choice of cooked, just the usual bacon, egg etc.
The staff are all quiet young, seemed to be doing their best but the hotel undoubtedly has problems and fell well short in all areas of the standards we have come to expect when booking with offpeakluxuary. Do not recommend and certainly will not stay there again.
