Poor quality hotel
Ours was a executive tired rooms; clean but stained carpet; grouting to bathroom floor tiles all coming loose, painting very poor and slap-bash; lighting controlled by 1 way to read was by bedside lights. Noise from other rooms excessive. No bar snacks available, ony limited menu; no lounge to sit in.
Short break
My husband and I wanted a short relaxing break and this is what we got, right next to Charlecote park and a bus stop just across the road which we used to go to Stratford. The food was lovely and we ate all 3 nights in the hotel restaurant
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Great stay
Unfortunately we only booked for one night but will definitely return . We enjoyed the peaceful location and although there was a wedding during our stay it didn t impact. The breakfast and evening meal were delicious and the bar made cocktails for us . The only thing I would say is that we found it quite unusual to be asked to pay for both early check in as well as late check out.
Excellent - recommend
Booked this break pre-covid and had to be postponed twice, but 3rd time lucky we got there and it was almost worth the wait. Originally it was a celebration booking for my husband and I, but unfortunately he passed away (not covid) last year, so invited my best friend to join me. Room was spacious and clean. We dined both evenings in the restaurant and food was superb. Also had breakfast both mornings and this too was very good. Plenty of choice and the chef and staff were most pleasant. We visited Charlecote Park which was practically next door to hotel and had a wonderful time there. Very lucky that the weather was sunny too. Would definitely recommend and plan to return sometime in the future.
very helpful staff
We had booked an executive room which was really great but my wife has trouble getting in and out of the bath (she got stuck in ) So the staff kindly moved us to a room with a wet room which was ideal. They could not have been nicer will certainly be going back when we get the chance.
A well deserved and much needed break from a very hard year caring for other people .
Arrived at hotel with my wife and Jack Russell on a glorious Sunday afternoon. Reception staff were courteous and helpful giving the necessary information and advice. Our room was better than we expected, light from two large windows, spacious and spotlessly clean . It was a little tired in places but so have been other hotels we have stayed at with lots more star ratings . Our first evening meal was a little disorganised due to some World Cup football match but the two waiters were amazing , cheerful and very entertaining, full marks . Breakfast was adequate, but with a choice of hot food and cereals , the yogurts fruit and plain were really nice . However the coffee and tea was awful, we stuck to orange juice . Every evening meals just got better and better , great staff , good portions , reasonable choice and decent wines . Overall a good holiday . We were pleasantly pleased with the whole package . Location right opposite a beautiful park and Manor House absolutely perfect . Really good value for money , do not be put off by the airport close by as we saw only tiny planes taking off and landing , some really interesting ones .
1 night stay
Welcoming staff, restaurant staff very pleasant and attentive. Food bit plain, but very tasty and hot. Good breakfast.
Room that we had, suit, could do with a little TLC.
Light bulbs on room need replacing.
Still ,good value for money for DBB
Wonderful stay!
We had a 2 night break at the beginning of July and couldn't fault it from a warm welcome to our late check out, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!
