Brilliant

CS, Berkshire, stayed: March 2022

We booked this hotel as a mid week break for us and friends. The two rooms provided were exceptional and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast on both morning was second to none and the evening meal was superb.
A fantastic base to visit either Stratford or Warwick (we did both), and great value for the money paid.

Lovely location for exploring the local area

AC, Berkshire, stayed: January 2022

We stayed for 2 nights just after new year and had a lovely time. The hotel was quiet. The meal was very nice and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Located right next to Charlcote Park it was very easy to visit there and also Compton Verney.

Short break

John, Somerset, stayed: October 2021

Dinner in the restaurant was very good and 2 x breakfasts were fine. Service in the Hotel bar prior to dinner was very slow. The Hotel looked very tired and required a deep clean. There were visible cobwebs in the restaurant where the carpet was stained and dirty. Our room was reasonably comfortable but was dirty with a well worn carpet. Dust/dirt on the skirting boards was visible. The hot tap in the bathroom was loose in its holding and the general cleanliness was poor. Fortunately, we were only there for two nights and therefore didn't bother to raise the issues. We will not stop there again.

Good but some issues

Rodney, Lancashire, stayed: October 2021

The hotel is ideally placed and welcoming. The decor could do with an upgrade, it's a little bit tired. Whilst the breakfast offering was good, the cooked food was not warm enough. The food in the restaurant was rasty and hood value for money. The choice of wine was poor, charging 23 for what I would guess was 5/6 wine.

Short Break

Stephen, Surrey, stayed: October 2021

This hotel will benefit greatly from the plans to upgrade it. The accommodation is in need of some refurbishment and modernisation. Having said that, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the beds were very comfortable. In anticipation of the proposed improvements, we would definitely like to return.

Not as good as expected

GB, Hampshire, stayed: September 2021

Our room was not as nice and the pictures indicated and is more a 3* than a 4* hotel. Our room decor was a bit tired and needed to be upgraded. Evening meal was good, however, breakfast was a real letdown and well below the standard expected. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
