Welcome break
Really restful break, cream tea was the best we have had anywhere, dinner in restaurant was ok and need more of a selection at Sunday brunch, staff were excellent throughout and we Will definitely be back
Weekend for two purchased as a wedding gift
This stay was a gift and so we used it as a mini honeymoon. The hotel location is lovely, high up with amazing views. On checking in the staff were lovely and friendly and our room was perfect. The staff were really helpful and when we went to the bar, it was clear that some staff were new but trying their best to make sure everything was going well. They made lots of effort to be accommodating and the bar man who didn't come across as new to the hotel made my own cocktail which made me feel like I was on holiday.
The food was amazing at breakfast and also dinner time.
We managed to use the spa facilities so we had a really relaxing weekend.

Had a great stay
Really nice hotel. We stayed in one of the suits which was beautifully furnished with an amazing bathroom - one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff were incredibly helpful.
Our Long awaited break
Waited a long time to go away .Excellent value for money.lovely setting.
Would go back again.
Hotel with great grounds and potential
The staff were very nice at the hotel but they were under pressure. I could not contact the reception through the internal phone or the external phone and had to take quite a walk to the reception in order to request robes. The room was on the second floor but had no lift. The tea and coffee were nice, the bed was comfortable and the view was good but the room itself was quite mediocre. The water in the swimming pool was more cold than was comfortable except for vigorous swimming and the hot tub outside was also too cold. They said the boiler had broken down on the Friday but the temperature was the same on the Sunday. The restaurant was good for breakfast but did not have a good ambience for dinner and the food was not great. Out of the three dishes we ordered. (duck confit, aubergine and mushroom tart) only the mushroom tart was good. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room beautiful in the morning. The staff were unfailingly nice and helpful but the hotel had perhaps come under a lot of pressure during the pandemic.
Weekend break
Lovely hotel in extensive grounds with great views. Warm welcome on arrival. Everything internally looked new and very clean. Plenty of places to sit around the hotel and relax. Lovely food in the restaurant. Rooms beautifully decorated, although bathroom compact. Spa area that guests can enjoy. Takes about 10 -15 minutes to walk into Tewksbury to save driving there and parking, weather permitting. We were lucky to have dry and bright weather.

More signage to reception would be appreciated.
