Ww had a lovely stay and the staff were really helpful especially in the Restaurant Jane is wonderful on Breakfast. The rooms are modern and clean and the surroundings make you feel like being abroad.
Lovely stay, such a beautiful place
We loved our stay here, the spa is so relaxing, and the bar is such a lovely place to unwind with a drink watching the golf or just chatting, it was so peaceful. The food was top notch, it was excellent. Honestly we will be coming back as soon as we can we enjoyed it so much. So friendly as well
This contemporary Boutique Hotel has been restored with no expense spared.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this wonderfully lavish classy Hotel in the middle of beautiful countryside with glorious views. The interior everywhere is stunning and clearly produced by top class interior designers. The room we had was a suite with a large fully equipped bathroom and a large bedroom with a super king bed and completely equipped with all you need. It has a world class gyms, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi , sauna, squash courts, tennis courts and superb 18 hole golf course and club house with wonderful walks around the perimeter. We were thoroughly spoilt and would describe this Hotel as one of the best class hotels in England without a big price! You will see us again.
Hotel with so much potential
Stayed here before but sadly I have to say it has gone downhill, especially in terms of customer services.
After checking in we visited the spa. We had been told at reception that towels would be provided at the Spa. On arrival at the Spa there was no staff about. After 10 minutes, I went behind the reception desk and contacted reception. They said someone would be with us. After another 5 minutes a member of staff appeared. She informed us that they hadn t received any clean towels today and none were available, she said we could use the ones from our room. We weren t happy as we were wanting to shower when we got back to our room. She then said we should go to the hotel reception (in a separate building) and ask for towels.
In he restaurant in the evening we were met by very young inexperienced staff. We ordered our meal and also a bottle of wine. Our starters arrived after 10 minutes but no wine. After finishing our starters we asked about the wine. No apology but it was eventually plonked on out table, unopened!!!
We the waited another 40 minutes for our main meal to arrive.
I know thes comments are very negative but the food (when it arrived)was of a really good quality and we really enjoyed it.
The breakfast was good and there were more members of more experienced staff serving.
I feel strongly that staff training is urgently required for the young members of the restaurant staff who were left to serve both in the restaurant and bar in the evening
Spa break no Spa!?
My sister and myself were one of the unfortunate many, whose foreign holiday was cancelled and were desperate for an alternative break.
Whilst we were delighted to have found Tewkesbury Park Hotel Spa break, for the chance to unwind, relax and be pampered. We were left disappointed to discover that there were no Spa treatments available. There were no staff to provide them.
The reception staff at booking out time, from the hotel said hat they understood our disappointment and would try to get us a complimentary break.
As yet, we have had no correspondence from them.
I would stay at this hotel again, it was in a beautiful setting.
Nice hotel but let down by poor restaurant with over-inflated prices
Comfortable, well-appointed rooms with lovely views. Nice pool/spa/gym. Friendly and helpful staff at the check-in desk. However, dinner at the restaurant was very poor. After taking our order it took an inordinate length of time before any food appeared from the kitchen. We noticed long waits for food at other tables, too. Unfortunately, the main courses were very mediocre, despite the 'gourmet-level' prices, and I object strongly to restaurants charging extra for potatoes - 5 in this case. The starters were the only semi-reasonable dishes in terms of quality, but with extremely mean portions; the soup, for instance, was just a single ladle's worth, and didn't come with any bread. Breakfast was chaotic, with many hot buffet items running out and long waits for replenishment. I ordered porridge at the beginning but it finally arrived 35 minutes later, after we'd finished the rest of our breakfast and were just about to leave. (Despite all these gripes I have clicked 'Yes' to 'would you stay here again' - but only if we ate elsewhere).
