A wonderful Stay

My husband and I spent a night at Tewkesbury Park with another couple. Without exception we were treated in a friendly and helpful manner by every member of staff at the hotel.
Our room was spacious, highly appointed and spotlessly clean.
We enjoyed both evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and it was lovely to be able to relax after dinner and have coffee in one of the many comfortable sofas and armchairs.

Very Disappointing - never again

Week booked a 4 night Spa break at Tewkesbury Park but on arrival we soon realised that this was a mistake. Our room was on the third floor of a separate accommodation wing that had no lifts, the room was small and incredibly hot as there was no air conditioning or fans. We returned to reception and was offered a better room in the main building that at least had AC but again no lifts. After a very mediocre lunch we went to book our Spa treatments only to find that there was only one therapist and two Spa rooms. There was no treatments available for the whole of our staff. When we complained we were informed the Tewksbury Park is a golf venue and definitely not a health Spa. On our second night the noise in the bar was terrible with a group of guests shouting and drinking heavily. This went on until the early hours. We were so disappointed we left a day early. The venue is in a stunning location but what is on offer is well below acceptable standards. All In all it turned out to Beth s most expensive swim I have ever had.

Short break for a local motoring event.

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times a few years ago. Very comfortable hotel with a good restaurant and leisure facilities although I did not use them on this occasion. Very pleased with service and general ambience and comfort of hotel. Reasonably priced and no complaints whatsoever. I d happily use the hotel again.

Spot on!

We treated ourselves a night away to celebrate a special birthday. Booked opulent room - very comfortable, spacious and some lovely touches..Fantastic meal and breakfast. The staff were welcoming and we were delighted with the service we received. A great break and would definitely return!

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings

The hotel is very well equipped with luxurious rooms, indoor pool, golf course and tremendous views over the surrounding area. The two nights we stayed happened to coincide with the hottest days on record in the UK and so we were very grateful that our room had A/C! The breakfast menu was plentiful and suitable for all tastes. Our evening meal was slightly disappointing i that the venue was changed due to the extreme heat and the new restaurant area was not as relaxing, but this would not be the case for "normal weather" days. Overall a very comfortable and luxurious stay.

Excellent for a special occasion

Enjoyed a one night break for a special wedding anniversary. Superb dinner included. Staff very helpful and grounds immaculately kept.

Relaxing stay

A nice welcome from girls on reception, bedroom well appointed, very clean and lovely to have water in the fridge during this hot spell. Also great to have a coffee machine.
The hotel looks out onto a golf course and great views beyond.
Few spaces to sit outside and comfy lounge areas.
Ordered a pizza for lunch and I would say it was the best veggie pizza I ve ever tasted.
The meal in the evening was delicious, only problem eating two nights in the restaurant was on the second night there was little choice of mains I fancied. Maybe the chef should introduce specials on a separate menu.
Staff were very pleasant and although some lacked training they all seemed to be working hard . Maybe a restaurant manager/ manageress would help the service run smoother.
Sorry to say when we checked out the free bottle of wine in the deal had been added to our bill.
These little things make or break a pleasant break. It was quickly rectified by reception.
I would recommend this Hotel as it s so near to the Cotswold villages, Tewksbury would not be on my list for another visit.

Although the reception staff were pleasant they mixed up our booking which resulted in an annoying wait.
